Went here after noticing that I had a flat tire on my vehicle. Didn't want to spend buku money on a new tire so I tried this place. I was visiting my brother from Florida and this shop reminded me of a shop that we had close to our house, called Fred Cox Automotive. Friendly people, clean waiting room, and they even had a small dog to play with. Repair didn't take long and was pretty inexpensive too. Definitely recommend for automotive repairs. read more

I am new to Tifton and needed a good, but reasonable brake job. They got into it and called me,did I want all 4 brakes done? They explained everything well and I decided to gat all four done. From opening it only took to 11AM to get it done. It was fast, accurate, and reasonable. I could not ask for more. If you are going to some place with a new building and a fancy waiting area this place is not for you. But if you want good work and a reasonable price - this is the place for you. We were traveling from Florida to Canada and noticed low tire pressure at a stop along I-75. We found Tifton Genral Tire online and they had a good review on Yelp. They put our car on a hoist and found the problem and replaced a stem value. It was quick and the cost was unbelievably cheap as I was expecting a minimum charge and would have be happy to pay upwards of $100 to get the tire fixed and back on our way quickly and safely. My hats off to this group, they bailed me out of a jam. We live in N.Ga. And we're traveling back from Fl. 13 miles south of Tifton when we blew the inside rear tire on our dually p/u truck on Sat. close to their quitting time and it was S. Ga. Hot. These guys fixed us up, they replaced both rear inside tires then and had us on our way in less than 45 minutes. Good group, professional work, and very fair prices. Absolutely useless. I brought my power steering pump in to have them take my pulley off and put it on my new power steering pump. They stripped my nut and said that I brought it to them already stripped. The owner has absolutely no care in the world of fixing the situation and having a repeat customer. He told me to have a good day and to get off of his property. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER go back and I would recommend nobody else go to them. We were traveling I75 from South FL home to Ohio when we began having issues with the front tires on our car. We looked on line for area tire dealers, after having no luck with several other businesses we contacted Steve at Tifton Tire. He was able to confirm he could get the correct replacements in 20 minutes from a local supplier. We arrived, they got right to work and had us fixed up with 2 new tires ready to go in 30 minutes. They were super friendly and professional, I was in a tough spot and they could have easily taken advantage of that but not these guys. Their pricing was very reasonable and service second to none, a true old fashion down home small town family business. My husband posted this to google, and very much sums up my frustrations with this company.... I am very disappointed in this companies business practices. My wife had to flat tires on the passenger side of her car where she ran over something on her way home to Florida. After some investigation and numerous phone calls the tires had to be special ordered. We had them ordered by Tifton General Tire. We had the car towed to their establishment and had to wait until Monday for the tires to be delivered and installed. We go Monday to pick up the car and the battery was dead. Why? We don't know, there had been no issue before taking it to Tifton General Tire. They attempted to jump the car. The hooked the cables up incorrectly, the battery in my wife's car began to smoke with her standing less than six feet away. The realised what they had done and quickly disconnected the cables and reattached them. I then started the car. After less than 20 seconds the cables where disconnected and the car died immediately. We jumped it again and removed the cables and it died again immediately. At this point they tried to convince us the alternator was bad and the reason the car wouldn't continue running. We then had to have the car towed to Valdosta Kia 45 miles away. They did an evaluation and tested the car and it was a main fuse had blown and in their paperwork they stated the car had a surge by the cables being hooked up wrong. Well, after paying the Kia dealership a $156 repair bill, towing charges, a hotel night stay being without the car for 5 days, a trip home to Florida and back to Georgia, Tifton General Tire offered to pay only $46. This is a joke and slap in the face. After several logical discussions with them, Stephen from Tifton General Tire stated "his wife is in charge of these matters and she came up with the amount they would pay". Stand up, be a man and do the right thing instead of hiding behind your wife's skirt. We could have asked for all the expenses we occured, which would have been considerable more than we are asking. We were just trying to get the money back for the actual damage your company caused, not all the additional cost we incurred. If your traveling through this area, I would stay away from them, because it seems they are only and possibly concerned for their local clientel. read more
