Due to covid-19 couldn't be seen unless it was an emergency (understandable). However they had no problem charging me a hefty amount. Didn't get a statement for the previous month which was tacked on to this month's statement. Got the statement on the 27th and was expected to pay by the 31st... Had 3 more fillings to get fixed but will be looking for a more compassionate/professional team.

After my first visit my husband joined and last Christmas my two sons who are students,came in from the East Coast. I made appointments for them and they were treated with so much care from the entire staff and were more than pleased with the services from Dr. Murdoch. One of them needed extra work done,and he made extra time to attend to them although it was close to the holiday time. I'm deathly afraid of dentists but Dr. Murdoch was so careful and attentive, he had me completely relaxed. The office and the bathrooms are immaculate. Stacy the receptionist is very friendly and Christine is my tech most of the times, and who does fabulous cleaning. All the other techs are very skilled, because they worked on me at least once, and are also very polite and very friendly. I would be their customer as long as they are in Walla Walla and I am also. Much thanks to all of you. This is one of the health services that the professionals need to be of the type of aura that you display because it's one of the most intimidating health care services. Upon tepidly entering his office at different times , we were greeted by an exceptional office manager followed shortly by meeting the dental assistant and then Dr. Murdoch. Dr. Murdoch's exam was with the most thorough explanations and dental plan exceeding any past experience with a dentist. The following day a filling was completed where he and his dental assistant worked in harmony without words. Excellent experience. They know what they are doing. We will be back to follow the plan provided to us.

Patient care, knowledge and great energy are what stands out the most but being made to feel comfortable and safe, in an otherwise challenging treatment, goes a long way. I have an aversion to dentists from poor treatment as a child but I never worry when I go to Dr. Rietz' office. They are patient first and it shows. They communicate throughout treatment so there is no mystery what's going on. Some of my dental care has been a challenge but they always have an answer. I'm a patient for life.

Went in for x-rays and was told the doctor was too busy to see me but he looked at my x-rays and things look fine. Are you kidding me? They made an appt for a cleaning because they only do x-rays separately? Wtf? Came back for cleaning and was made to wait almost 20 minutes. The hygienist asked how often I get a cleaning. I said once a year. I try to take good care of my teeth so this is never an issue and my insurance covers once a year. She said well if you did every six months you'd make my life a lot easier. Again, excuse me? I asked her if my teeth were really bad or something and she said if no no I could see patients like you all day long. Well then why the comment? Then she said I should pay the extra $100 and do cleanings every six months. I said I would come back in six, why not. Kind of awkward discussion so I agreed to move on, knowing I could reschedule whatever I wanted later. After awhile the dentist came in. First time ever seeing him yet he didn't say hello, introduce himself, or ask me how I was, etc. All he did was stick his fingers in my mouth and tell me I need a night guard due to an old grinding habit I had. I told him I don't grind anymore and he argued that I couldn't know cuz I'm asleep and I explained no I used to and wore a guard and my dentist determined I no longer needed it. He was just a dick about it. Obviously wanting the money for a new one, I'm not stupid. He left abruptly after that and whistling said goodbye to all the staff since it was half day Friday. So unprofessional. The Hygienist said, do you mind if we finish the periodontal part of your cleaning next time? I'm running out of time. I was shocked. Ummmm I guess?! Has anyone ever heard of this? Was I interfering with half day Friday and her pedicure appt or did she think it'd be only 6 months ago that can wait? This place is ridiculous. NEVER AGAIN.
