She quoted $35 an hour and 4 hours of work. So that would be $140. I asked for carpet cleaning and she added $75 for it. So total $215. I agreed to this right away. I was not in town, so i sent money to the tenant who will be moving in the home. That tenant would meet her at home and pay her cash. An evening before scheduled time, she texts me saying it will be $285 total. i was confused and called her. She now thinks it will be take her 6 hours to clean an vacant apartment of size 520 sqft. Hence, it would be 6 x 35 + 75 = $285. I mentioned we had agreed on needing 4 hours for such small apartment. So she immediately backtracked and agreed for $210, without any argument. This incident alone should have made me cancel the appointment, but i thought she may have forgotten what we agreed on. On the scheduled day, she arrived 1.5 hours late. To her credit, she did notify about being late, then again, she texted being late about an hour. Finally she was 1.5 hour late. She worked less than 4 hours and left. She took entire $215 but did not work accordingly. When the tenant complained, Sara mentioned she would contact me to explain why she did not work 4 hours, but didn't do it. Lots of areas were left unclean and job was not done properly. When i tried calling her, she did not answer her phone.
