Volcano at Town Center does both foid and delivery preparation well…read more The choice for the night was sushi. My grandson ordered Salmon Avocado rolls and my son the Chirashi Bowl. When I saw my son's bowl I realized how long it has been since I had the dish and regretted that I hadn't also ordered one. But when I opened my Hibachi Shrimp I was happy. It was also a dish I hadn't ordered in quite some time. It was plentiful with enough food for two people. My only disappointment was that it was served with clear, rather than miso soup, The packing was perfect. It was delivered hot and perfectly kept in place in the delivery containers. They were also prompt. When you order late that type of service is very important. I'll continue to order from Volcano Sushi at Town Center with their long and varied menu.

It's just alright…read more The sushi isn't great, but it's also not terrible. A solid "I'd only come back here if I don't find a better spot." The sushi is extremely loose. Every roll fell apart upon picking up. Part of the problem is that there's very little rice in some parts, so it's just nori (seaweed) holding it together. Needless to say, they collapse. The fish tastes just alright. We were one of three customers sitting down so it wasn't busy. We still were somehow ignored by our server. Our server would walk away mid-sentence before I could finish asking for something. It took the entire meal to get water refills. However, it's a fun looking spot and the karaoke prices don't look crazy expensive. I'll give it another shot, giving them benefit of the doubt.

*Racist establishment* I truly wish I could give this place…read morezero stars. The outside of the bar was covered in patriotic symbols and branches of the military. I walked in, and the entire room seemed to stop. People turned and stared. I smiled at a few of them, hoping to break the tension, but they just kept staring. I sat down at the bar and waited quietly -- five, maybe ten minutes. I had no problem being patient as I understand bartenders can get busy. But while I sat there, I watched her serve others, chat with regulars, and even tell one that she'd just given him some fresh drinks. She continued cleaning her bar but never once acknowledged me. Not even a "Hi" or "I'll be right with you." Then she poured herself a Red Bull into her personal cup, walked right past me, and struck up a friendly conversation with the man next to me -- loud and casual -- asking if he was "golfing this weekend." That made it clear: she wasn't going to serve me. As a BLACK veteran, that moment hit hard. This bar, with all its patriotic décor, made it clear that their version of "supporting the troops" doesn't include people like me. I didn't serve my country to protect ignorance or racism -- especially not from those who wrap themselves in the flag while looking down on others. This place can take their support and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

I have been delivered to Brazino Heaven!…read more I have been to Costa Brava Spain, Porto and Nazare Portugal (I'm not bragging - it's context), and I just had The Best Branzino I've ever eaten. I had mine pan seared -OMG! Topped with chimichurri and seared vegetable medley w a An African secret sauce in the side - unbelievable. This is what makes Pacifica my fave on the oceanfront (tourists - your welcome). Make the trip to Pacifica Ave and 34 (?), you'll be happy you did. Also try the chocolate blended drink - if you like White Russians and espresso martinis!

Ambiance: Very pretty and modern. Love the laid back vibes and atmosphere…read more Service: Our waiter was quick and polite. I asked him for a drink recommendation and he was quick and accurate in terms of recommending drinks he thinks I would like Drinks: Pretty good. The Negroni wasn't too bitter and had a good taste to it. I asked the waiter for a drink that was refreshing but not too sweet. He recommended the Lucille which was spot on. Food: This is where I was disappointed. Happy we went during happy hour because none of the food was worth full price. The chicharrones looked like store bought pork rinds and tasted like it too. The potstickers tasted like the frozen ones you get from the grocery store. The shrimp ceviche was essentially tasteless. Once the jalapeño ice cream melted, it tasted a little better but I wish they had served it with more onions and lime to give it more flavor. The goat cheese and olive was good but nothing special. I wish they gave us more bread REPLY TO BUSINESS OWNER: WOW, that was an extremely unprofessional reply. None of the cocktails we ordered were vodka redbull. Thanks for replying and letting me know to never return!

I have been singing and hosting karaoke shows since 1999, from Nashville to San Diego I love…read morechecking out local spots for a good show. In a town full of karaoke shows and karaoke rooms, this one finds itself at the low end of the spectrum. Having seen him host at numerous bars around the Hampton Roads area I would rate his sound a 3.5/5 as he will randomly bump the bass up on slow songs drowning out singers, showmanship I'd give a 3/5 as he will call people by the wrong names and and doesn't have much hosting flair, I'd give him a 2/5 for singing rotation as he lacks the digital list that most hosts have transitioned to over the last decade that lets singers know when they are up, and the most egregious hosting sin, he will cherry-pick his list to get his locals and friends can sing more or leave once they have gotten to sing multiple times to others 1 time or even none. Over all his town shows are a 2.8. I cannot speak to private events but would assume the would be better as the playlist and rotation are generally controlled by those that are paying for the Show.

Gary set up 2 hours before his scheduled start time to make sure his equipment fully operational prior to the arrival of the first guest. Based on the average age of the attendees, I doubted there would be too much interest in the karaoke aspect. I was wrong, Gary was able to entice many to show off their singing skills. The guests didn't want the party to end, so Gary agreed to stay an additional hour. It was a great experience, and wouldn't hesitate to use Gary for any function. Highly recommend him.

They also have an amazing selection of beer if beer is your thing. The food is good. It's not great but it is good. I had the fish tacos which were very filling. They were good. In my opinion maybe a little bland but still good enough. They usually have specials and they have a huge appetizer menu. I do love that they have HH seven days a week but you can't take advantage of the appetizer HH special unless you are sitting at the bar. Ehhh.....the bar is small and we were a party of 4. Not conducive to good conversation but would have loved to get some appetizer HH specials. Everyone seemed to love their food.....especially those NOT from Virginia Beach. If you like the Beatles then this is a must try but even if you don't like the Beatles, it's still worth checking out. And the menu is big enough that there is something for everyone. French Dips and Burgers, Salads and Soups and Pasta and plenty of seafood.
