Dependency only got worse, and I even manipulated a therapist to get out -- a sign of how ineffective the care was (a good therapist cannot be manipulated). The facility is unsafe, unsanitary, and deeply misleading. I witnessed glass being broken, plates thrown, and violent altercations. Kids are forced to sleep under camera surveillance and even changed clothes in front of them as a minor (who knows who saw me naked!) -- something that is not normal and feels deeply violating. Parents are lied to about the quality of care. Before visits or inspections, cleaners are rushed in to make the place look better than it really is. I personally saw Erin walk through and stage the facility before parents or other "inspectors" arrived. Meanwhile, kids were forming addictions inside. I saw peers "cheek" their Adderall and snort it. I had to smell my shampoo to make sure no one had shit inside it -- because someone actually did that to another client while I was there. That's how unsafe and unhinged daily life was. To make matters worse, the owner James McManus promotes this program on Dr. Phil -- who isn't even a licensed doctor -- which makes it clear this is about money and publicity, not real care. Three years later, I am still recovering from this experience. Your children will be locked up like dogs, and there is a very real risk they will come out worse than when they entered. I lost weight, had constant nightmares, and when I was sick and asked for a simple cup of tea, I was told I could not have caffeine-free tea when I had strep throat because "kids might snort the tea." How ridiculous??? My only option was to suffer for 38 days. I was called the f slur on the regular. Staff did nothing to protect me. To give just one example, Will a staff member (African catholic) not only pushed his religion onto me but we t as far to tell me id go to hell for being gay and having earings. I beg you: please do not send your kids here. This is not what you think it is!! Their PR team is great and their marketing is even better... This is not a place that prioritizes wellbeing of children. My "Therapist" Erin lied to my parents by telling them I wasn't the only gay person there in response to my cry for help when I would try to explain to them what was really going on. I am very outwardly and openly gay, and no one else outwardly identified at the time -- meaning she was either outing someone without their consent or straight up lying. They hire convicted felons. The "school" is an absolute joke. There is about one fake teacher for about 30 children. I had months of work to catch up on when returning to high school. They just present this great image that kids can do school when it's less then 1/3 of the day... Kids need school!!! I know I did... I saw several children be sent to the woods or dessert (utah wilderness camps) simply for cursing. I can't illustrate enough just how horrid this was. I never ounce even saw a doctor in person. Only virtually. They just bill and bill insurance companies as much as they can --- and offer very little real help. This place is absolutely what's wrong with the troubled teen industry and an absolute money grab.

One can only assume this is under the direction of CEO & founder Marc Ettensohn. Have never seen the guy, only dealt with the NPs. Financial considerations are the only concern of this practice, based on the office manager's behavior & discharge from psychiatric care with immediate effect, all scheduled appointments cancelled. No medical practice of any repute would treat their patients in this manner. Avoid this practice at all costs. Unethical & unprofessional. Marc Ettensohn should be avoided at all costs. Cipriani not only talked about herself and her relationship with her daughter the entirety of our last appointment, but at the end, she claimed she was scared for her life because a man her daughter was talking to was black. I immediately became uncomfortable and told her that that was an extremely racist comment and her response was that she's not racist because her daughter is mixed. With Donna Cipriani's racism aside, she is not a good therapist. As I stated before, there were many instances where she talked about herself for almost entire appointments and she does not seem to really know what she's doing. She didn't know the term "gaslighting". What kind of therapist doesn't know what gaslighting is? All in all, you can find a better therapist than this.

This is medically negligent and ignores basic pharmacology; such a massive drop carries a severe risk of seizures and neurotoxicity. The provider appeared impaired during our interactions, and the staff lacks a fundamental understanding of tapering protocols (like the Ashton Manual). If you are looking for dignified, evidence-based care rather than a high-volume prescription mill that treats the needy with insensitivity, look elsewhere. This practice prioritizes speed over safety.
