Tidelands Park is a small park at one end of the Embarcadero adjacent to the boat launch area. There is a grassy area to enjoy, relax, stretch ones legs, or have a picnic. Concrete picnic tables and sitting benches are available. Restroom facilities are near by. The parks department keeps them clean and presentable. A sand filled playground is equipped with concrete sea animals, walls, and a ship to climb on. The City of Morro Bay Playground Rules stipulate the play area is intended for use by children ages 2 to 5, but with concrete play structures, be very vigilant with their climbing and jumping around. Children must be supervised by an adult. Tidelands Park offers a beautiful view of the harbor and Morro Rock with a symphony of sounds by Mother Nature and her seagulls, otters, other visitors, and water movement playing in the background.

Tidelands Park is a sweet little park overlooking the water in Morro Bay. I took my pug for a morning walk there when we stayed at Embarcadaro Inn down the street. More of a green space than a park, Tidelands is a calm and quiet spot to walk and enjoy being by the water.

Fun little park at the end of the Morro Bay Embarcadero. Large free parking lot. Clean public restrooms. Large grassy area to relax, picnic or run about on. Fun climbing equipment including a large boat. Gorgeous bay views. Kid time fun.

My daughter loved this park, until she didn't. The tip of the pirate ship is slippery and she ended up hanging from it a few times but the narrow stairs of the deck of the ship surrounded by concrete did a number on her knee. Pretty much limited the rest of the trip for us. It's easy walking distance from all the hotel is you have two functional knees.

    Beautiful view of the harbor!

Parks! When you have active kids! You better know where the parks are at! Free Parking. Public Bathroom. View of Morro Rock. Right next to the harbor! There are a handful of Seals for kids to climb on. A pirate ship for kids to pretend on! Sand and grass! Located near the downtown part of the Morro Bay. Its a way for kids to burn energy before you head into those restaurants so they can build an appetite. Or... A place to bring your picnic here and watch Sea Otters play in the harbor! We were tourists here. Definately a park that I highly recommend for families! ;)

Amazing view and a great place for children ! We enjoyed it and it's not a typical playground.

Very scenic park. Nice view of Morro Rock. Lots of grass and walk ways. Great sandy play area for the kids. Nic spot for a picnic or to just sit on a bench and take in the beauty of the area. Many "Kodak picture spots" at this park. No fee to park. There is a boat launch next to the park for public use. You do have to pay to park in the yellow stalls there. There's even a fish cleaning station. Smelly spot, but the seagulls were loving it! Doggie approved park, by the way.

A cute little park away from the bustle and crowds of restaurants and gift shops on the Embarcadero... While there isn't much in the way of a traditional playground at this park, we were happy to discover that there was a "pirate ship" that kids can play on and around. Our 3-yr old LOVED this ship and was entertained for a good hour playing here. We would've stayed longer if it were up to him! There are benches for parent to sit on and it's a perfect spot to have a picnic with the picturesque view of the Rock. A total gem of a park in Morro Bay!

great weather, amazing view, fun for the kids!

such a great park overlooking morro rock. quiet not too crowded sometimes less is more and this park really delivers

Nice & quiet. Fishing boats unload their catch. 1,000 lbs salmon to waiting Fish Monger.

I love walking my good Friend A.J. In this quiet picturesque park right on the Bay. Birds, sea lions, kayaks, sail boats, fishing boats .... lot's to see.

It had a playground, restrooms, big green lawn areas, parking lot, and walking paths to the wetland and beach access. I was quite impressed with the green lawns. A lot of room to run amok. And the Morro Rock impressively stands in the background. Gorgeous! Can never get tired of that view. Another thing to note is that the park has no trees. This was done on purpose. The omission of trees was done per guidance from the Coastal Comminssion to protect the wetlands. Being from the Central Valley, the weather is much hotter and a park without trees is unimaginable. But the lack of trees at Cloisters Park didn't make my visit less enjoyable.

Our daughter loved the swings and seeing all the wildlife (ducks, squirrels, seagulls). The playground looked clean and well maintained and safe for little ones to play around on. Plenty of parking and good midway between Cayucos and Morro- but closer to Morro. Short drive in either direction.

The grassy hills are great for running around and being adjacent to the ranch property makes it fun to see cows. However, like every other park in Morro Bay it is falling apart and a slide is now closed. The spiral slide always scared me since the stairs don't seem safe since a kid could easily fall off. But still a fun park, I just with the parks department would do a fundraiser or something so our parks could be properly maintained and repaired.

Despite a busy morning and a wait to get on the court, everyone we met was incredibly friendly. We began in the beginners' court, but it turned out my friends were former tennis players who quickly adapted to the pickleball rules and techniques. So, we moved up to the intermediate middle court and had a fantastic time. The crowd, although a bit older, was warm and welcoming. We shared plenty of laughs, and my friends loved their first pickleball experience, planning to return the next time I visit Morro Bay. Although there were only three courts at the park, they were well-maintained. $1 per player. I can't wait to play pickleball with my buddies and these wonderful people in the community again.
