AVOID THIS SELLER
I…read morewould like to start by saying that if I had read the reviews on here first, I would not have bought from this seller. Please do read these reviews and, importantly the seller responses. There is a theme that the seller accuses any feedback that is negative as being a lie by the customer. I find it very hard to believe that they have so many customers that are liars. Please keep this in mind if you are considering buying. I have no reason to lie with my review but have been accused of that by the seller.
I bought a Cartier Tank. When received, i saw it was missing a screw in the case back. I had taken the watch from the box but not worn it at the point of seeing this. When i informed the seller, they told me it must have fallen out since I opened it and I should look for it. I assured them it hadn't (I did question how loose the screw must have been to just fall out if thats what they were suggesting). I asked for a mew screw but was told I should find a repair person to replace the screw to avoid duty costs. I have now seen that the seller has responded to my feedback on Chrono24 and suggested i must have opened the caseback and lost the screw. This is a complete lie and is an accusation that has come from no where. The seller claims to have pictures 'immediately before the watch was shipped' to prove the screw was there. They have never provided photos with any proof that they were taken immediately before shipping.
I sent the watch for a service to Cartier because of my nervousness with the screw. Firstly Cartier told me this watch should not be polished and it had been. The seller stated that they had polished it in the description but should be aware that this watch should not be polished. Cartier also told me that the dial had been refinished which the seller had not told me. Finally, the strap and buckle are both aftermarket despite the seller description stating 'Official strap'. The costs for the Cartier repairs are £1,130.40. This includes £370 for the service, £270 for the dial, £16.80 for the screw, £390 for the strap and £83.60 for the buckle.
Please read all the reviews before buying from this seller and consider your decision carefully. I am sure the seller's response to this review will state that I am not being honest but I have all the proof including the original listing by Joaillerie Royale, photo evidence and my correspondence with Cartier. From other reviews, it appears that I am not the first customer they have done this to.
