We're in escrow with Ticor Title of Coos bay Oregon. We've had dealing with other title companies including Ticor in Grants Pass. We have never experienced such poor service from a title company. We are very frustrated with Ticor of Coos Bay. The Coos Bay office has not returned my phone calls. They send vague requests for information to my realtor. And we are just guessing what it is they want and send info accordingly. They have made the same vague requests, multiple times, over the last two weeks. I've filed a dispute with the Better Business Bureau because Ticor Title of Coos Bay refuses to communicate with me directly. read more

Bad service, Terrible customer care. They never return your calls. They don't care if you are satisfied or not. The reputable name "Ticor Title" which is nationally known and respected makes this branch feel they can get away with subpar work. Customer service comes last at this branch for sure. I've had the pleasure of doing business with Ticor in more than one way. While serving on the board of directors for Homebuilder's Association, I found Ticor to always be strong in support of our community, always donating and offering to help as they could with varied projects. When we bought our home, we used Ticor and were very, very satisfied with how things were handled. Truly, I'd say Ticor is a business you should trust... even with your largest investment. Terrible place. Only one in town and dumb asses work there. Sold my house Sept 2017. Closing documents from them showed I owed HOA fees to the thieves at Osprey Point RV Park, Lakeside for Oct-Dec 2017? When questioned these idiots and Lisa Summa, she said she called Osprey and they "told" her they had a fee increase and being charged the three months I DO NOT OWN THE PROPERTY, would pay it AND NOTHING WAS EVERY PROVIDED ABOUT THIS IN WRITING. AWFUL Honestly, I almost didn't want the house after having to deal with this company, coos bay needs a new title company option because this one sucks. At the end of my homebuying process everything got delayed because Ticor didn't have their act together so much so that I had to send the message below...which they never even responded to, no apology whatsoever. EVERY interaction I had to have with Ticor was messed up in some way...Avoid them if you can...and I'm not one to say that kind of thing usually so that tells you how awful Ticor was, and this message that was sent only addresses ONE of the issues I had with them... "Ticor, I'd like to offer some straight forward and direct feedback as a consumer of your business' products and services. I feel that it is very important to let you know what the reflection of your business processes are so that perhaps you can take the feedback and do something constructive with it that benefits future customers and hopefully helps your business rather than hinders it. My primary question is: How am I supposed to trust Ticor's FINANCIAL services for another 30yrs if we can barely even get through these parts?? "We don't do much business with the east coast" is not an acceptable excuse, neither is "someone processing your paperwork didn't know there was a rush". Anyway I don't want excuses, I want action. In the future, if you're not used to doing business with a certain region, you might want to designate some extra time to the customer file and do some research so that you can meet or exceed your customers expectations instead. Today at 3pm PST (6pm EST) I got a call requesting more money for the notary that Ticor didn't have lined up already, but should have. In the meeting I had with Vicki on Friday I was charged $200, and was specifically told it'd likely be less. Today I found out that the cost is actually going to be $445! More than 2x what I was quoted and charged! So I imagine the extra fee is a SUPER rush fee since the notary that was FINALLY found is having to meet my sister between 7-8pm EST tonight, so that the docs can go out in mail tomorrow, AND my sister has to take them to be dropped. Honestly, I think Ticor should offer to pay the difference because it was their errors/delays that put it in this situation, as a business owner myself, that is what I would do IF I caused this much delay and inconvenience to a customer due to my lack of research and preparedness. This is the second time that a company involved in this home buying process has not done the research necessary for my account, despite being provided the information by Guild and I multiple times, the other was the insurance company. This is also second time that I have end up getting charged 2x the fee originally quoted, and the company still gets their money despite poor service. I have no choice but to pay the money in order to get the house I've worked so hard to find and live in, because otherwise this entire process gets held up even further to find someone else who is more competent at the last minute. A customer should not be put in that position, it is a manipulative move and doesn't sit well with the customer, I assure you of that. I pay people expecting the work I'm paying for to be done, and to be done according to schedule and to be done correctly. I do not think that is an unreasonable expectation, especially of an organization responsible for handing sensitive financial documentation. Lack of communication. Missed deadlines. Incorrect calculations, which caused additional costs and more work for me. Inconsiderate and poor customer service. One week after closing, I have yet to receive final confirmation of recording and title paperwork. Just closed on our forst home here in Coos Bay, with the exception of the secretary who greeted us, the staff acted as if we were a bother to them. When I purchased my previous home in another state the Title Company treated me as if i was important. I was given a big badket of welcome to your new home goodies. Coupons for home improvement snd food, plus the whole office it seemed came in to say congratulations on your home purchase. The lady who had me sign my documents at Ticor was about as happy as a flat rock trying to roll uphill. Not even so much as a congratulations when we were done signing. Needless to say their customer service lacks well...customer service. I guess since they are the only title company in town, they really don't car as long as they get paid. read more

Ok, i HAD to go back to Ticor. I explained to the person i was working with that i had a bad experience recently there and this could be a deal breaker for me buying a home. She listened to my issues and said that she would make sure i was treated better. I want to share that i was treated EXCELLENT by the two ladies that i came in contact with in the building. I want to say that I have a better opinion on Ticor. I am looking forward to working with them in my journey. read more

The staff was friendly and competent. And the service was not terrible, just rather disorganized. When my closing was delayed, they did not request updated payoff information and did not prepare a new settlement statement so the previous mortgage holder was overpaid and I had to wait for a refund. Plus, when I had questions, they did not provide answers or offer to send me a copy of the settlement statement but referred me back to the lender. read more
