Tickers & Timbers - Ax throwing, rage room escape room, painting stuff. - Escape Games Near Me - Barboursville, West Virginia

The owner has such compassion and dedication. Manages 2 locations and does a amazing job

Overall, just an "ok" experience. We waited at a table for about 25 minutes past our start time, at which point a flustered girl approached and informed us that they had double booked the room. States the double booking was due to someone not knowing what they were doing. She asked us if we wanted to do another room or come back at a different time. I expressed to her that my party would not be able to come back at a different time, and we specifically booked this room. She spoke with the other group who was double booked, who eventually ended up leaving. We got to the room about 35 minutes after the scheduled start time. The room itself was again "ok". Two of the needed keys were miss placed, both of which being left directly on the tables, making the clues weird and out of order. The speakers and mics with the cameras were also apparently having issues, causing the lady to open the door to our room on 3 occasions during the game to "tell us things". At some point the speakers began to work again, at which point the screen with the timer crashed. The idea of the room was fine, just poor planning and execution. We were told upon leaving that apparently one of there employees had quit earlier that day. That's not something the customer needs to know, or their problem. read more

My husband and I booked the Cheaper than Therapy smash room with an added crate of junk. After a slight hiccup with the coveralls (we're both on the chunky side) we were all set. We had a great 30+ mins smashing and bashing everything we were given. I think I was expecting a little more than what we got but we definitely were not disappointed. 10/10 will do again. :) read more

Tickers & Timbers - Pic taken by staff before we started. - Escape Games Near Me - Barboursville, West Virginia

Good atmosphere, friendly staff! My only disappointment was the paint room only took my teen & his friends 15 minutes to go through the paint provided. It advertised as an hour that time is for much younger kids. Axe throwing was cool you get lots of throws in the time provided. read more

Three of us checked this place out, played a couple games of ax throwing and had a great time. They also have some escape rooms and a smash room (where you can go in and break things!) Highly recommended. Wish they had a snack bar of some sort or refreshments as it was a hot day outside, but we had a great time and will probably visit again soon. read more

The atmosphere was so boring. They only had three lanes going. Hardly any music playing. The big screens on the wall didn't work. I had been to other ax, throwing places and it was so much more energy in the room and for the price this was just not a good experience. read more

Very please with our visit!! We did the Area 51 escape room. The price was very reasonable. We paid $25 per person at the time of our visit. We arrived early and we were greeted warmly by a couple of young men. A young woman joined then after a short wait and we were headed to the room, 15 minutes before our scheduled start time. After an energetic explanation, we were into the room. The puzzles were engaging and encouraged teamwork. Our group of four had some previous experience with escape rooms but we were still challenged by the tasks and the story was a lot of fun. We escaped with just under 3 minutes remaining. We will come back the next time we are in the area! Thanks guys! read more

Tickers & Timbers - Victory! - Escape Games Near Me - Barboursville, West Virginia

Took my daughter and niece to do the smash room and spatter paint. They had a great time. Only issues I had was they only provided the girls with one canvas. I paid for 2 sessions and had I booked separately they would have each received one. read more
