This place is dope! As an American, I yearn for a cafe that has comfortable seating, free and quick wifi and cheap/good coffee (that isn't starbucks or Peets). A majority of the time, Paris has failed on all of these fronts. But lo and behold tucked away in some Belleville back street exists the awnser to all of my white american melancholies over missing his beloved cafe/office.
Yet there is nothing American about this place - the guys who work here pump revolution roots reggae, smoke something herbal, and chill whilst the open air passes through the sunny front room. It's more reminiscent of an island cocktail hut. In the back there is ample comfortable seating and I think later on in the night they host stand up comedy. Can't vouch for the comedy because it's all in French.
