They have this guy that works up front as has the worse customer service with his "Welcome to Hob Lob" greeting. The man was extremely rude to my mother on a few visits . I was employed here for 2 weeks and it was the WORST retail place to work for. I have never felt…read moremore disrespected and more unwelcome in a work place. Most people here were super passive aggressive and on a power trip. I went in on my day off to purchase some things and the Art Manager, Phillip, was ringing me up. He seemed irritated that he had to help me in general. He was struggling trying to figure out which buttons to press so I was trying to guide him and when I mentioned that something was actually supposed to be 30% off, he leans over the counter close to my face and screams, (not yells, actually screams) "I'M NOT TRYING TO LISTEN TO YOU." HIS SPIT - landing on my cheek as he said it. In front of lines and lines of guests that are trying to have a pleasant experience. If I was a guest behind a worker and saw this interaction, (I was actually a customer at this time, dressed in regular clothes, so to any guests in the building, they would think he was screaming and getting in the face of a customer.) I would never return here. I had never been rude or disrespectful to any of my coworkers there so I still don't understand why there was so much hostility towards me. I have watched other co workers be mistreated and BULLIED. They refuse to give you your LEGAL 3rd 15 minute break. Even when it's in the HANDBOOK! And even if you're working a 10+ hour closing shift. The bathrooms are beyond disgusting no one cleans them. Pads sitting on top of the toilet paper dispenser, used toilet paper on the ground and it smells horrid at almost all times.

But i cant think of a more obvious "screw you" and self-centered attitude, which advertised that their ignorance or arrogance outweighed customer safety or comfort. They made their political statement, so whoopie! for them. I wont support that crappy attitude toward customers (most arent in the Cult).

New stuff on the main floor, consigned trains and planes on the second floor and a local club with a layout in the basement that they work on Saturdays. Pretty cool.
