I just had my own experience with Thryv, affiliated with Yahoo and Yellow pages. I am pretty sure they put false information about businesses online to trigger one to call their number to get corrections made. That happened to me today. Incorrect address and incorrect description of services I offer. I spoke to Lauren on the phone and explained I was trying to get the corrections made and was unable to do it on my own. She was extremely friendly and sucked me right into her web. She said she would have someone call me to go over the issues and any other issues I might be having with other sites. Within minutes, I get an email identifying an hour long virtual appointment had been scheduled. After a couple of emails back and forth, I asked if they were charging for this service. Oh yea, they were. A bunch of money monthly in addition to a set up fee. So Miss Nice Nice on the phone was only buttering me up (false friendliness) just to suck me into a sales call with Dorian McElwee without telling me that is what she was doing. Sickening. read more

I hired Thryv to grow my detailing business. They promised a high-ranking website, increased visibility, social media growth, and new leads. What I got: a broken website that doesn't show up on Google, copy/paste social posts that got 0 likes, no new customers, and no ads ever launched. I complained on every call that nothing was working. Their "solution"? Try to upsell me a more expensive plan and charge a second onboarding fee I'd already paid. When I asked for a refund and proof they'd fix it, they ignored me. I'm now filing with the BBB, FTC, and Kansas Attorney General, and preparing a lawsuit for $180,000 in lost business. Save your time and money. Do not trust Thryv with your business. read more

I was "talked into" signing up with Thryv 10 years ago. Shortly thereafter the Account Executive disappeared and from that point on it has been a continuous waste of money. Finally, I switched to another company, what a difference that has made. Thryv has no customer service, your calls are transferred all over the place when you do have a problem; expect to have a hard time reaching a live person, and you are basically dropped in the grease once they get your money. I was afraid of going from the frying pan into the file, but I finally decided after another price increase I had to do. Much to big of a company for a small business owner. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Don't do it!!! read more

I am under the impression they do not care whatsoever what their customers think, feel, or say. Thryv constantly called us about payment methods. We always paid monthly and saw the deduction from our bank account. Thryv said we failed to pay them, despite the charges. I hesitate leaving a bad review, but it's gotten to the point that it's affecting how some family members are experiencing their day by just ruining it. read more

NO!!!! I made a mistake subscribing. The software only works 80% of the time. Thryv, in my experience, has issues with your clients using Apple Products. The customer support does not listen to your concerns and are not committed to getting the issues resolved. Thyrv communications show up on my client's end as being spam and unsafe to open. I have wasted hours trying to resolve issues, only to be left frustrated. Save your hair, DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO Thryv. read more

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS OVERPRICED CRM COMPANY!!! I signed up with Thryv in June 2024 and it was one of the worst decisions I've ever made. I had been hesitating for years to use social media for additional exposure for my painting business. But I had goals to try and grow the business and many professionals told me social media is necessary for growth/competitive edge in today's market. So I signed up for Thryv with a discount through a Benjamin Moore program. I was very hesitant, especially since they did not offer a trial period to test the software and get a feel for customer support/response times. But I signed up for a 6 month contract, the shortest one they had, at least with the discount. To make a long story short, I will just list the main problems I had with Thryv and warn you again to find any other CRM company in the world to do business with. The software is extremely bulky, clunky, and unintuitive. It took weeks of Zoom meetings of instructions on how to use all the features. I paid a few hundred dollars to have them build/host my website and specifically asked if would own the website if ever I left and they said yes, I own it. They lied about that. When I went to turn the website over to new host, the new host informed me that their website building software is proprietary(not transferable to WordPress for example) so the only thing I own is the domain. To build a new site will cost me around $1000. My new website also showed me they were doing the minimum of SEO, where the limit was set only to the town I live in...WTF! No wonder I wasn't getting any traffic to the website. A couple months in, I asked my rep about this and mentioned the only calls I was getting from the website was spam/scam calls and that I thought there would be way more traffic from the website driven by all the exposure from the social media accounts/posts we set up. Her response was that "even if it's spam, at least you know you're getting exposure". Unbelievable! So don't have them build your website. They also have deceptive billing practices so beware. When I went to cancel my 6 month contract, I didn't have a new host set up yet so I had to have them simply host the website they designed. That was month to month, no contract, but cost $120/mo. Most companies charge that for a year of hosting. Finally, when I went to cancel the hosting, being told it was month to month, they told me I needed to cancel 30 days in advance. When I explained to them that that would mean I would've had to cancel the same day I signed up for the service they told me that's their policy and there's nothing they can do about it. So they got another $120. Before this experience, I was really looking forward to investing in growing business. I put a lot of time and money into Thryv and they left me extremely disappointed and the business has not grown at all, besides through the old tried and tested method of word of mouth and my reputation. AVOID THRYV AT ALL COSTS! read more

Thryv has good intentions, nice people but poor implementation of its CRM. My experience was not a good one. They deactivated my account in the middle of my Ad campaign without an email, notification or call. I move my ads to goggle and found out it was cheaper that what I was paying Thryv. Thryv calls and ask why did I leave, I informed them what happened and they denied ever turning my ads off. What?! I don't do business with people who tell untruths and then bills me for another 3 months. I don't like this one bit! Not a good value of my money. read more
