I made the appointment wanting only thyroid and hormone treatment and I was told they do that all the time. Erica would not listen to me in the appointment and pursued things I did not ask for or want. She did not connect with me or even acknowlege all the things I've done for my health over the years. I took the time to fill out an extensive questionnaire but in the appointment she kept asking me things about what I had already filled out--what a waste of my time and money. I was not only disappointed, but very upset upon leaving there, having paid over $300 for the appointment and getting basically no help at all.

Dr. Axtell was the first out of many doctors I went to that didn't dismiss me and my symptoms. She…read morehas been such an amazing help to me and I fully trust her and her opinions. On top of that - she opened a beautiful new location that makes me feel so calm and refreshed after leaving! I also have taken Lakeside Medicine's cooking/healthy eating zoom class/seminar and it was amazing!! Dr Axtell went through a PowerPoint on tons of healthy eating tips and then showed us how to cook 3 or 4 recipes. Along with that she answered everyone's questions throughout the time and sent the materials via email for later reference. I can't thank Dr. Axtell and Lakeside Medicine enough!!

I don't really ever review anything but I feel that woman and men should be warned what an awful…read moremoney making machine this place is. My review is a tad long but worth the read if you're considering kind body. I came to kind body after 2 years of trying to get pregnant. There was a lot about it that rubbed me the wrong way but I couldn't put my finger on it until I moved to New York and I am now being seen by a Cornell doctor who is AMAZING and I get exceptionally great carel! Here are the top complaints about kind body after realizing what fertility medicine SHOULD be like! -I felt like I was on a fertility conveyor belt, there is no interest in figuring out what is specifically wrong with the individual just a bunch of check lists they need to check off so they get paid. The staff does not care about you as a patient just about their check at the end of the day. The doctor especially doesn't care. I never actually saw her in person. More on that below. -you NEVER actually get to see the doctor in person. You have a Skype meeting with her initially and then each appointment you only see the ultrasound technician and the nurse. Even when I received my IUI it was not done by a doctor. She never called to check up with me, see how I was doing absolutely NOTHING. I didn't think much of it back then but now I go to a doctor here in New York City who I see for every single appointment. He does all of my ultrasounds and any procedure I might have. He checks in constantly with me and always asks if i have any questions. This is the care you need to look for. Kind body does not offer this kind of exceptional care. -I got diagnosed with PCOS while at Kind body and they had no interest in healing my PCOS before jumping into Fertility procedures. All they cared about was jumping straight and lUl's and IVF and not caring about healing my body first and getting my body to a place where it is ready to conceive. So it's no surprise I did not conceive while at kind body. -the nurse Emily is awful!!!! Whenever I would call she would act annoyed with my questions. After telling me was not pregnant after an lui I cried with disappointment and she looked at me like I was crazy and tried to hurry everything along so she could leave the room. You could just tell how annoyed she was. Soooo unprofessional. I highly recommend you look else where than this money making machine for your fertility needs.

My fiance had childhood trauma that had him hospitalized and this was the only way to help him/us to have a kid. I had saved up for copay as they said insurance didn't cover it so I could pay out of pocket. Had an appointment set up for about a week in advance. I even received a coupon in my email that an employee said could be applied and that they would assist me with that. The day before, I get a message saying that MY appointment that was scheduled plenty ahead of time was already somehow taken (even though it was booked with ME)and that they can't help me and changed their policies. This sounds so sketchy and devastated me and my fiance after years of jumping through constant hoops. This is a horrible way to display your business and to lead someone to think you could help them. Throughout the process,…read morethey were difficult to work with and challenging to understand regarding process timing and costs. During our experience with Kindbody, we found out that many of the coordinators and nursing staff had left for other places, making it difficult to maintain consistency within the practice. Since completing services with Kindbody, we have been working to secure a refund for services not rendered. After numerous attempts to obtain information, we were told that it was always someone else's job and that they would get back to us. However, each time, there was never anyone who reached back out. We have been struggling to get a refund that exceeds $12,000 for over 5 months. It was already a nervous and stressful time for my wife and I. There are choices that can be made for fertility clinics, and I would caution anyone from working with Kindbody Milwaukee. This is truly a poorly managed operation, and we often found them to be short and rude. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if you have options, DO NOT choose Kindbody during this stressful, yet hopeful journey.

After having one failed IVF I wanted to make sure we got it right the second time. I'd heard that…read moreacupuncture had high success rates so I found Orchid Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Rebecca was wonderful and so was the rest of the staff. During my first IVF cycle I had a lot of symptoms and lethargy but during my second cycle with acupuncture, I had very few to no symptoms. This made the second cycle super easy and relaxing. I started one month before beginning my second cycle and continued throughout the cycle as per the acupuncture protocol. After just one or two sessions with Rebecca I already felt more balanced and even a bit younger in my body. When I started IVF drugs and as they began to become more intense acupuncture kept my body feeling balanced. I hardly noticed the drugs at all which was a huge difference from the first cycle. During the first cycle I gained 15 lbs and this cycle I lost 10 lbs, thankfully. Besides making the process easier on my body and mind it was great having someone to talk to who knew what I was going through. Rebecca asked detailed questions and had answers for my questions about what could be going on in my body. It was like having a good friend to talk to who had gone through what I was going through. Once I had my embryo transfer and did the acupuncture protocol for that part of the procedure I was satisfied that I'd done all I could to become pregnant. While I was enduring the 2ww I had an appointment and it helped me to relax, detox and feel like I could do something more to make things happen. Then when I found out I was pregnant, I continued through my first trimester. At this stage acupuncture helped ensure that my uterus got the blood supply it needed to hold on to the embryos. I could actually feel the difference when she put a crown of needles at the top of my head. Acupuncture and other forms of body work have another benefit besides the local and systematic benefits, they force us to lay still and relax for 30-45 minutes. Relaxation is so key to having a successful IVF cycle. Rebecca has music or meditations you can listen to. I usually listened to an IVF meditation for the stage of the cycle I was in. I think overall the reason I produced 21 eggs the second cycle vs 6 eggs the first cycle, and am now pregnant with twins is because I chose to include acupuncture in my treatment.

I'll start off by admitting that until recently, I had never had a message before. Yes, we have a…read moremasseuse that comes by the office and does 15 minute hair massages, but that had been the extent of my massage experience. Since I've been pregnant, I've developed some back and shoulder tension as well as headaches and decided it was probably time I give this whole massage thing a real try. Side note: I am not a fan of people touching me (Most notably strangers) and especially as a pregnant person. Orchid made me feel very comfortable from the beginning. My masseuse, Jennifer, was very communicative. She asked me questions and provided recommendations and techniques I can do on my own. It helped my headaches almost immediately and I find a lot of value in my monthly visits. They specialize in a variety of women focused issues from fertility through post-partum and offer additional services (Of which I have yet to try) including acupuncture, reiki, herbal medicine, etc. The prices are reasonable and the service is great. It's tucked away in a calm Bay View neighborhood, parking is never an issue and it just adds to the calming effects of your treatment. I would highly recommend Orchid for first timers as well as people with special needs or requirements.
