Terrible customer service. Called and said we wouldn't get an order if we were even a second after 8pm so we parked right out front slightly out of line the marked spot with the hazards on to sprint inside, to run in and save their time as we were right on the line and they wasted time making us move our car even though the marked spot was right next to the door right next to our parked spot. Product is almost as bad as the lady who worked the front with highlighted hair, wish we would've got her name. What's even worse is someone arrived after us at 8pm and they let him in. Would never recommend this place in a million years. I recommend the staff undergo some sort of customer service training as they are rude over the phone and in person to paying customers. read more

So incredible at the array of products and the people on the sales floor that are helpful in getting you what you need and explain the products very well. I like their system of ordering on their in-store tablets and then like a pharmacy with a wait you get your meds and called and they go over what you're purchasing and ask if you have more questions. I have been a loyal customer of Thrive since their opening here in Mt. Vernon Illinois. I have given them positive reviews and even sent many a new customer their way. All of that changed with my last purchase. I went into the Mt. Vernon location and ordered the Remedi Relief syringe that is close to 500 mg. I tried to add a 100 mg edible to my order but was denied because I had reached my daily allotment. This is how I know I clicked on the correct product. When I went to the register I was presented with a short box and said that doesn't look like a syringe would fit in that box. He verified it was "the relief oil"... I had no idea there was another very similar product and relied on him knowing what I wanted by using the word syringe. Needless to say when I went home and looked at the bottle I realized this product only had 50mg of THC - no where near the daily allotment - so I was disappointed and headed back to the store. I was greeted by the person from my POS transaction and they were already handling an issue with another customer OVER THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. Same POS. Same employee cashiering. What are the odds? The employee immediately began arguing with me that it was my fault, and I digress that it was partly my fault for not inspecting my products as throughly as I should have BUT most of the responsibility is on Thrive. Unlike most other retail stores I cannot physically touch the products before purchasing. It is also a new market so most customers heavily rely on the employees' knowledge and the store's own point of sale system. It is not unreasonable to expect the salesperson who is trained in the merchandise to understand what a customer means when they say "syringe". I also mentioned the one item maxing out my in state limit so I feel as though that should have also been a big clue that a 50 mg product was not what I ordered. I don't know if it was the computer system or an employee mixing up the items but they did not seem apologetic about the mix up nor did they offer most usual customer service options like swapping the products, retuning the item, etc. I was unable to purchase the item I wanted because I would go over my daily allotment since they couldn't return my first purchase. I do not think a return would have been unreasonable as I have attached pictures to show just how similar the two products are. I believe Thrive has grown too comfortable being the only dispensary in town. This has lead to apathy as far as their ordering system is concerned and lack of over all customer service. For instance: Online ordering doesn't save you any time. It also does not guarantee product availability. What's the point? Their security team is always friendly, usually fast and genuinely good at their job but beyond that point there is high turn over. I know people who work there and it seems the system is just as frustrating to employees. This leaves everyone in a bad mood and it has been made clear by the employees moods over the months Thrive isn't the fun groovy place to work that it presents itself to be. After months of being open, it is clear the top tier of this company is happily making money, having a corner in the market and has no plans to provide a better computer system to help frustrated employees and customers; nor do they care because they think people won't drive to another location. Consume in Marion is their direct competition and I had a similar issue at Consume. When I called they simply told me to bring back the receipt and product. When they saw it was a mix up they replaced my item and let me keep the extra. As the market grows how you treat your customers will become important. I usually try to be easy on businesses but I can't believe they were very aggressive about this situation when anyone looking at the two boxes would admit there could EASILY be a mix up when fulfilling this order. read more

OMG!!! I thought California was expensive!!! At least California would offer THC levels up to 40%, but I can't find anything over 28% here, low-mid-shelf, and selling for top shelf prices! The taxes are the worst!!!! If they were smart, they would price the products to include all taxes, out the door, so to speak. That way there is much less sticker shock. Today, I bought 1/4oz and paid almost $150. Now that is ridiculously priced. The product is low-mid-shelf quality and makes you cough. Someone please open a dispensary near these guys and compete, they are getting away with robbery because there is no competition near by! read more

Terrible products. Always full of premature seeds fan leaves and the flower is over dried. It's like thrive doesnt do a quality check ever. Staff is unknowledgeable about the products. They get bottom of the barrel from growers and sells for top shelf prices to customers. They even sell infused flower that isnt infused. Can you say scam. read more
