They are quite frankly pretty expensive for a laundry mat but supply and demand it happens. The dryers do a ok job drying if you separate loads. As for washers you CAN'T fill it very full. I am talking 1/4 of the washer can be full or things dont wash ( IF A WORKER IS THERE THEY WILL THROW A FIT ) . If its just a little fuller than that you will be confronted and your items removed. It's just ok for their building cleanliness of their building. I gave the establishment 2 stars; instead of 1 because it's a least something: being what there is in the area. The Customer service of the establishment is quite rude and after 2 different trips; they have lost my business completely. The first time it was suggested we can go to a different laundry mat. (This one is closest.) For just simply washing clothes and not causing a stir. While working in Lake Charles on a long-term deployment and staying in a hotel, I have to do my own laundry. I don't like using the hotel's laundry facilities because the machines are dirty and have an awful smell causing the clothes to stink. Today, I went on a search to find a good clean, reliable, convenient, and affordable laundromat that would meet all of my needs. I found that at the Cooling Springs Laundromat on Broad St at 2nd Ave. This place is fairly new, clean, and well maintained. There are 25 clean washers in three different sizes to meet all of your washing needs. There are 20 large clean and well working dryers. This place equipped with the following for your convenience: *Security. More than 10 security cameras strategically placed throughout the inside and outside of the facility. * Entertainment - TV's, free Wi-Fi, and vending machines (snacks & drinks). * Separate clean men and women restrooms. * Both a bill-to-bill changer and a bill to coin changer. * Machines accept cash and credit cards. *There's also an ATM machine on site. * Communication signs through the facility in case there is a problem. * Vending machine stocked with washing detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets. Ample benches for sitting, tables for folding clothes, and rolling carts for transporting the laundry from the washer to the dryer, etc. *Covered parking for loading and unloading laundry. This is definitely my place to go when I'm needing to do laundry while working in the Lake Charles are. If you need to do laundry, I highly recommend this Cooling Spring Laundromat.
