Went inside this location to check it out and see if there were any good deals on desks…read more Immediately when I walked in the front doors I was greeted with a very odd smell. I thought we'll it's used items but as I kept venturing in towards the back the smell was worse. There was not a lot of clothing items that I could fit or would wear. It seemed very cramped. No one said hello to me or even acknowledged my presence inside the store. I poked around and didn't find anything I needed or was looking for. I think the reviews are kinda spot on for this spot. If u need big furniture there was a lot there. But for clothes I would look elsewhere and if you are sensitive to dust and odd smells don't go here.

A pleasant surprise. Go read the price board behind the register counter, that will help immensely…read moredue to the clothing is not priced individually. Some unexpected treasures buried in the racks and racks of clothing which are sorted by size and gender, and a really good kids selection of clothing in very good shape. The kitchen and home goods are worth looking through also. Large selection of books and dvd's if that is your thing. The staff is friendly and will joke around with you if they sense that you are down with it. And, it is a good organization, here is a quote from their main website: Staff will work directly with people that have intellectual/developmental disabilities in our job training program. The goal is to help individuals eventually obtain community employment.

I must admit that I was a bit apprehensive about reviewing a "House of God". Not only is it a…read moreHouse of God, it is an Assembly of God Church, with it's mothership rooted in Missouri, and is the world's largest Pentecostal denomination. And not only is this a church, Pentecostal, this church is in Fallon, NV, which I believe has roughly 8600 people in the whole town which literally means that everyone knows everyone. But.... to my amazement, reviewing this church is going to be very easy for me because I was more than pleased about the sermon and the church's vision for the community. My son and I have been to this church before and I had been to this church several times about 10 years ago. I would guess that everyone knows everyone there and it appeared so when everyone greeted each other. One moment of discomfort for us though; there was time given for everyone to greet each other and I will honestly say that no one came to us to say hello. I could have easily reached out to others and be more proactive, but I wanted to see who could welcome us. 3 people welcomed us before the service and I believe 2 of them had welcomed us in our previous visits. So one tip to others in the congregation... You never know who may be in the congregation, a fellow pastor, a fellow Yelper, or God Himself. Be kind and welcome all. The music worship was great. They have several singers, guitars, drums. All the fixins for a Praise Worship band. The music was moving and spirit filled. This A+ in bringing more young people to worship and leading people to Christ. Here is what I really am excited about though... Celebrate Recovery is coming to Fallon! What does that mean? To quote from the Celebrate Recovery website: Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory. The church is welcoming those (like me) with addictions, mental illness, hang ups,and bad habits. Gone are the days when people who have made mistakes are judged. All of us have missed the mark, we are not humanly perfect. And that is what I like about this attitude and practice about Celebrate Recovery. Fallon Christian Life Center, this is exactly what Jesus would do! With this attitude, you will help others to heal and recover! The guest ministry was from Dr. Matthew Stanford, who did an amazing job at explaining sin and the addictive, or mentally mind. He presented analytic, scientific data in simplet terms and equated it with the teachings of the Bible. I have never heard it explained in these terms. Bottom line, we are all proned to sin and through Grace we are healed. Tonight, I hope to go back for more to learn about mental illness. It's gotta be good if it gets me to church twice in one day! Thank you church leaders in Fallon for truly understanding that we are truly equal in the eyes of God and for realizing this is what we need to heal from our addictions, etc and for truly looking out for the better good for Fallon. Bless you all!
