Do a small range of pates and other bits for with your wine. What is great about this store is the guys who run it- always on hand with advice and not too 'snobby oenophiles' with it! Best for french wine, but even have a few bottles of english stuff- havn't tried them yet (they are mostly white, and i am more of a red girl myself!)

Opening hours are short - because they let Threshers deal with all the under-age kids and drunks - and the service is really helpful. No cigarettes, but a good choice of cigars. Top notch.

This is quite a small threshers and the wine sections seems to be shrinking, it only takes up a…read moresmall corner of the place and all spirits are kept behind the counter, so inactual fact they do not have a wide range of products. I have had a mixed experience of the staff, some have been nice and friendly, others not so much! I find that threshers is generally very overpriced. So only tend to buy from there when you can get 3 for 2 bottles of wine, or if they have the 40% off vouchers going. Although the location in the high street is very good.
