3 reasons I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5…read more 1. The one time in my life that I'm going to Byron Bay, the store closes for 2-3 weeks for a remodel. 2. The temp store is really small and only contains the Oasis collection. 3. They're doing a pop up in Venice right as I'm leaving to Australia. All that aside, it's Spell and I was still in awe and totally obsessed. I can't ever remember being so obsessed with one brand. Maybe one day I'll make my way back to Byron and can visit the permanent store.

Byron Bay markets have all this if not more. Definitely put it on your bucket list while visiting Byron Bay as that relaxed & hippy vibe you're travelling to BB to connect with all comes together here! Come with an empty belly and a wad of cash as most stalls are cash only with a few exceptions but it'll just make life easier. There are as many food stalls as there are artisan stalls so grab some food and find yourself a patch of grass amongst the buskers and bask in the free love. Peace.

You'll find some very interesting handiwork if you need some souveniers, however the food stuffs here really steal the show. Local honey and macadamias, the Byron Bay Chilli Factory and Byron Bay Cookie Factory (not THOSE cookies, you'll have to ask one of the buskers to share theirs), lots of little cake and bakery stalls as well. Be prepared to ditch the diet for the day. A word of warning, the markets are the main attraction on a Sunday and so parking can be an absolute nightmare, better off leaving the car at the holiday bungalow and walking, it's really not very far from the town centre of main beach.

I was really impressed by the knowledgeable staff, who are clearly passionate about books, as well as the wide selection available, although it does not include some of the best sellers you might expect (I came in looking for The Immortal Life of Henriette Lacks, which they did not have). Nonetheless, I was recommended something else I'm thoroughly enjoying, and count this shop as easily one of my favorites in Byron.
