I was referred to 3 Points by someone that had recently started using them. Things started out great, Steve showed up for the bid quickly. I was in no rush but Steve worked to fit us on the schedule. then it got delayed a few times do to scheduling. Again, no problem, I wasn't in a rush.
They got out to do the work and things went ok the first day. I thought his crew would be bigger based on the description during quoting process and referral info. They did a small retaining wall which turned out OK. I had to explain a few times what I wanted before they got it done correctly. that is fine.
They were supposed to move some sprinklers and go through and make sure coverage was good. This was the biggest thing I wanted. They have a sprinkler guy that was promised to come out numerous times. I didn't get him until after some of the sprinklers were moved. Then they had to send their sprinkler expert out after the fact to fix the job the other guys did. After the expert came, It still wasn't covering very well. I called steve to have him come out. text him, called him, text him again, again. times were setup, Steve didn't show. New times were setup, no one showed. you get the idea. finally Steve came out. he made some adjustments that should have been made by the expert in my opinion, but oh well!!
When Steve came out i pointed out areas where the grass was dying. he said coverage was good. yet here are areas the grass is dying. he said I just needed to water more! ???? Why do i need to water more when the grass all over in most of the areas is dark green and growing well? I wanted them to evaluate where i needed extra heads and add some so that I got better coverage for the dead spots I get every year in the same area. So, I increased watering. After all, they do this for a living. same result, grass grows great in most areas and dead in the same spots. Water bill is now outrageous.
I turn the water back down to a once a day cycle early AM and the green areas stay green but dead areas stay dead. To me that means water is not getting there. So now I paid (Premium Price) a landscaping company to evaluate the irrigation system, and nothing has changed. So now I am going to have to do it myself even after hiring someone.
We also had an area I needed leveled for a trampoline and playhouse. This was less than impressive on the leveling part. very lumpy and uneven. I made the trampoline area work, but ended up tearing out the pavers and re-doing a section myself because of how uneven it was. I paid to have the job done because I didn't want to do it myself. I should have just done it myself.
Steve is a nice guy, but I would not use 3 Points again. It was ridiculous to coordinate getting them back out to fix something I had already paid for, and their experts don't seem to be experts. This isn't just my experience but that of the two other family members who used them as well. read more
