I've been getting my eyebrows threaded at a few different places around the city for the last couple of years, this was by far the best. Almost every other place I've gone to has taken way too much off, despite me telling them I wanted a fuller look to frame my face. The therapist took great detail in explaining the differences in each brow and told me as I'm so fair it could take 2 years for me to achieve the look I want without having to use pencil and powder to fill. Not sure if this was an upsell technique but I appreciated the honesty! She was very careful to remove the bare minimum whilst trying to make them even. Although it's more expensive than a lot of other places I was absolutely delighted with the results, I felt like she really listed to what I wanted and my face looked so different afterwards, being properly framed. I made my follow up appointment on the spot and was given a loyalty card- not sure what exactly this entitles me to. I met a friend for lunch afterwards and even though I was wearing less make up than usual she commented on how well I looked which I definitely think was down to the eyebrows!

She used a scissors to trim areas prior to waxing but actually nicked me a few times. I paid in a horrified shell-shocked way - without mentioning it to the owner who was nice as I was literally struck dumb by the brutal experience. Result was bloody and uneven. As I push the door open I realise the place been painted and new carpet has been put down.... all the way up to the second floor the place is looking spiffing. It was fine before, maybe a little worn and torn. But now the interior is looking mighty fine I must say. I meet my wax technician (not sure thats the title for it, but thats the one I'm giving them!) and I immediately start into how I want the eyebrow shaping to go... precisely. I got the impression she was a little taken back by how pendantic I was about it. But I explained to her that I've had awful experiences in the past with eyebrow shapings that had gone terribly wrong. I think she understood, I hope so anyway! It went fine.
