Had a system (battery operated sump pump) installed by Bix Basement (Iowa) several years ago & received exceptional service. Unfortunately Bix was bought out by Thrasher. I have made multiple attempts to obtain service from Thrasher & was aways told someone would get back to me to schedule. No one did. On my most recent attempt, I was finally told they did not provide service in my area. If you need this type system, LOOK ELSEWHERE! Thrasher does NOT live up to their word. read more

We have had nothing but problems since we started using Thrasher, when we bought our house in 2010 one of the selling points was the very nice finished basement, there was a sump pump in the laundry room but we were told that water wasn't much of a problem, well that was a lie and the Spring of 2011 we had a very wet Spring and our basement flooded, we called Thrasher they came out made sure the sump pump we had was working properly and then convinced us to also install a triple safe system down there as well. In that 13 years we have had 4 major floods in our basement, we've had to tear dry wall out and carpet and furniture we have finally given up on redoing that basement and is now just an empty space. They promised once the triple safe was installed we'd never have another drop of water down there, then one time they came out and said that whoever put the tiles in didn't do it right, another time the original pump we had went out and the motor needed replaced and they said it wasn't one of theirs and couldn't fix it but had fixed other times before, then another time they came out to work on the triple safe and when they got there said they couldn't work on it because the outlet it was plugged into wasn't grounded or something but we hadn't done anything different to it and they had worked on the triple safe for years that way. The workers never tell us the same thing each one that comes to do our yearly check up tells us a different problem or different solution. We currently pay a monthly fee to have them come out and do a yearly checkup on our systems yet they are never available, they were supposed to be out to our house 2 weeks ago and cancelled because they didn't have any one working that could do it, rescheduled and then got a call to reschedule again because still no one working that could take care of it. I'd recommend ANYONE other than Thrasher, worst business we've ever had to deal with!!!!!! read more

While their product is good and the installers and sales people are friendly, there are some big flaws in their business processes that make it very difficult to do business with them. Generally, if I have a bad experience, I just do not leave a review, but in this case I think it is important that people are aware. Their salespeople over promise, then leave the promises out of the contract. Read the contract and make sure the things they told you they would do are in there. They push for same day payment at the time of the sale to get a discount. Then after the sale, they do not return phone calls with questions, their crews do not show up when promised. I told my neighbor to look at some of the other companies around town for her foundation work as I just have not had good experiences with Thrasher, unfortunately. read more
