My sister fostered two children two years ago and it providing a great life for them, she tries to take them abroad once a year. This year she booked a holiday package to Majorca and paid over 3,100 GBP for the holiday and purchased insurance, a few days before they were due to leave one of the girls came down with the chicken pox and my sister called Thomson Travel Group to explain the situation and was told that sorry "we paid the operator (Falcon) and your money is gone and my sister stated that she has insurance to cover a situation like this and she was told by the "manager" that even though they sold her insurance she was not entitled to it as she was not a UK resident!
