RUN--Don't Walk--Away From This Law Office…read more Hiring Jennifer Manzi and her team was one of the worst decisions I've made. Right in our initial meeting, she told me her last client said she "did nothing" for them. That should have been my cue to run--but I didn't, and she repeated the same pattern with me. Her office committed a massive privacy breach by sending me another client's completed legal paperwork, which included their Social Security number, bank account details, and birthdate. Completely unacceptable. The only thing I was supposed to receive in my divorce was $1,000--and even that wasn't included in the final decree. For some reason, I thought the decree could be amended to include the $1,000. When I came into sign, I carefully reviewed the decree and noticed the $1,000 was missing. I asked Jennifer's assistant, Whitney, about it, and she went back to speak with Jennifer. I was told Jennifer was "on the phone" and couldn't come out to address it. I went ahead and signed the decree, and afterward, I sent an email asking about the missing $1,000. I received no response. I followed up with a second email, and when Jennifer finally replied, she blamed me--saying that because I reviewed and signed the decree, it was my fault the omission wasn't caught. I trusted that my attorney would prepare the document correctly and ensure that the only thing I was supposed to receive in this divorce was actually included. Instead, I was left to take the blame for her oversight. There was no discovery, and I walked away from everything. My ex's lawyer was aggressive and relentless, and Jennifer allowed him to dominate the entire process without pushback. To make things worse, their accounting rep consistently sent incorrect invoices, including charges for items that had already been paid. I had to review every single invoice thoroughly to avoid being double- or even triple-charged. I never felt protected, informed, or prioritized. I hate to say it, but I'd recommend my ex's lawyer--the one who steamrolled us--before ever suggesting Jennifer Manzi to anyone. Stay far away.
