At 30 years of marriage I did not expect to find myself getting a divorce. A friend referred me to a paralegal (Eileen Donnelly) who was doing a good job for me, but when things got complicated between my ex-wife and I, she recommended that I seek the services of a family law attorney. I am super grateful that she referred me to Blake Thompson!! At my first meeting with him I knew that I was at the right firm and that Blake would provide me the representation I needed. Their office is very nice and welcoming. All of the staff I worked with were very supportive and professional throughout the process. Blake's knowledge, professionalism and strong desire to provide stellar service for me was very apparent in every meeting and communication i had with him. In court I got to see him in action. He was thoroughly prepared, and he controlled the hearing. I was very impressed by the way he stayed calm, focussed, respectful to the judge and the court while battling my ex-wife's attorney. The outcome was so much better than I could have ever expected. Out of court I thanked and praised Blake for an amazing job, he said "I'm was just do my job". I would highly recommend Blake Thompson and the law firm of Thompson and Thompson!! read more

Horrible service. Only talked with counsel once before retaining, and then was not able to get in contact with them until the court date. Total costs presented to the court via their sworn declaration was increased after the fact via their billing. Costs were increased by more than $1k. read more

Horrible experience they just take your hard earning money and charge for making copies of your files. They make mistakes and never take responsibility of anything. The lawyers don't even bother to read your files even the ones they submitted in court ."what a losers!" They should be reported to the ABA So they stop their lousy representation. read more

This law firm is terrible. The case was simple, but they made mistake after mistake, requiring everyone involved to correct their numerous errors. read more

Blake Thompson will be so nice when at first trying to earn your business but dont be fooled, after you retain him, it's another story. He was not there to represent us in court but rather his associate. His secretary literally called what we we're asking for "stupid", just very unprofessional. Would never recommend him or his practice. I've learned a lot from this law firm practice and will be better prepared for the next attorney I hire. His office is a beautiful place but don't allow this to cloud your mind, his people are were not there to help or defend but rather take your money. Please feel free to email me for more information before hiring him. Just don't get fooled by the lawyers or the business appearance, beautiful oak offices, it's what they do for you after they get their money.......... read more

I can't say enough good things about Blake and his entire staff. Every single person I dealt with was incredibly compassionate and on their game at all times. I had a different attorney before I ended up with blake. My first experience was horrible, but blake took his time to read through my case completely and knew it inside and out. He made me so comfortable and confident during an extremely difficult and emotional process. A million thanks to blake and the lovely ladies in the office. read more

It is hard to leave a positive view when you have to go through a divorce. However, never been through this nightmare experience and marriage of 30 years; and not really understanding the whole legal process I did feel I was well taken care of by Thompson & Thompson. Both Byron and Blake are professional and will go to bat for you! Divorce is an expensive endeavor no matter what. I really appreciated how they worked with me financially. I think the negative views are from those that don't get the whole process. Courts and judges are slow in this process and COVID did not help. Overall, I was very pleased with my outcome and I'm glad it is over. So if you need a strong law firm to get you the best out come then give them a call. read more

OUTSTANDING! My attorney was Blake Thompson, he went above and beyond. All of the staff at this firm are amazing professionals. My case was handled quickly and efficiently with no problems. I was represented by the best. I highly recommend this law firm. read more

Thompson and Thompson met all my needs during a chaotic period of my life, my divorce. Blake Thompson calmly walked me through my options, and clearly explained the realities of the process. The support staff either, resolved my issues if they could, or effectively communicated my issues to Mr. Thompson if he was not available. This allowed him to always get back to me in a timely manner when he was in court. Thompson and Thompson met all my needs in a personally stressful time of my life. read more

Byron Thompson handled a child support case for me back in the 1980s. He said if he lost he would pay me back the $750 that he was already paid. Well, he lost the first case and when I asked him for the money back he said, "I did say that, didn't I," but he never paid me the money. If you're reading this Byron, I'm still waiting for my payback. Do the right thing. read more

My experience was great. I worked exclusively with only Tuckerman & Thompson. Tuckerman was a shark in the courtroom but not offensive to the judge. My ex, who was hostile and threatening ended up quivering like a chastened child. In divorce look for a performer. read more

I am so grateful for all Blake Thompson and his team did for me. I left another law firm after being extremely let down by an attorney they suggested to me after mine left the firm. My divorce and visitation case had been grossly mishandled and my ex kept taking me back to court. I felt hopeless. Blake and his team were beyond thorough and were always proactive and one step ahead. He was so prepared for court and left no stone unturned. After a 2 year long battle, I am so happy and relieved to say that it seems as if this is finally over and I can have some peace in my life. Words cannot begin to describe how grateful I am to Blake and his team. Amazing!!! I highly recommend him. read more

Blake Thompson was an excellent ally to have in the courtroom as well as during the meetings leading up to a settlement. While this divorce took over 2 years, he always arrived with current information regarding my case and sound advice. I'd highly recommend him. read more

Do not hire this attorney! Blake Thompson either doesn't know how divorce laws work and what options to seek remedy from or he just doesn't care about getting his client what is owed her. If you cannot work out the issues on your own, Blake will not help you. In the 5 long years Blake represented me, my case deteriorated drastically. Absolutely nothing got done and I have 34 months of arrears and debt to deal with now. I had to hire another attorney to get my issues resolved. He also turned me over occasionally to Mr. Valladolid and they both severely padded my billing. When I called them on it, they didn't bother to deny it, they said nothing at all in their defense, but then didn't take off the extra charges. His staff is very incompetent and make many mistakes and when you call them on it, simply in an attempt to get something, anything, actually done, they deny it, lie to you about it and get rude. These people could care less about their clients. They take off early every Friday so that day is useless. If I had the money, I would have left a long time ago, but Mr. Thompson left me totally destitute by not enforcing the court orders already in place. 5 years of total nothingness. He doesn't enforce court orders, he doesn't request orders where there is an obvious need, he doesn't do anything for you, he just sits on his hands and does not move the case forward at all. He is not a fighter, he just let my ex walk all over me with no consequences. He just wants to keep everyone on the never ending payroll to support is young family. I could do nothing else but slowly watch my life go downhill in his care. I tried everything to light a fire under them to motivate something, anything, to happen, it just made it worse. They are not going to move your case forward, no matter what you do. I hope my new attorney can dig me out of this giant black hole Blake Thomson and his staff have put me in. I seriously have PTSD after serving my sentence with Blake Thompson and his staff. read more

I could not have picked a better attorney for my divorce than Blake Thompson. I had a very complicated divorce with a multitude of issues, which went all the way to trial. At the end of trial, I came ahead on all issues. Blake Thompson is diligent and competent attorney who practices law with integrity and gets great results for his clients. I could not be more satisfied with the representation of Blake Thompson. The way he approaches each case is with great detail and with a tremendous knowledge of the law. He explains what is going on every step of the way and he is extremely approachable. Additionally, his office staff is courteous, prompt, extremely professional and very easy to work it. I highly recommend Blake Thompson and I will be sure to be using him for any future family law needs that I may have. read more

I had the best experience with Blake Thompson. I have read some of the posted reviews surrounding Mr. Thompson and could not disagree more. Divorce in an incredibly stressful time filled with varied emotions...sometimes hour to hour. Blake helped me navigate the process. I appreciated his directness in the various matters. I feel that Blake assisted in providing me with the best outcome possible. Yes, I did plenty of my own behind the scenes work. I believe if you want a positive outcome you also have to be your own advocate. I came to Blake with several ideas, some which he used and some which he did not believe would be a viable option. When we went to court he was superb. His specialty is litigation. Is it expensive...yes!! Will you incur debt in the process.....ummm...yes...hello, its a divorce...no one wins in this. Having said that, I believe I chose wisely when retaining Blake and would do it all over again with his services. The office staff was professional and accommodating. Look people, divorce is an awful, violent, disgusting process....quite frankly its a war. If you want an attorney that will attack when necessary and be in the trenches with you....hire Blake. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have more questions. read more

It is unfortunate that some have had bad experiences, but I thought I would add mine to balance things out. I retained Byron Thompson to handle my dissolution of marriage. I have been an executive many years, but rarely have I been more impressed with someone than when I met and consulted with Mr. Thompson. My former wife attempted to get bogus restraining orders and accuse me of domestic violence - a common tactic prompted by attorneys representing female clients. Not only did Mr. Thompson put my mind at ease, but we handled the hearing and ate our opponents for lunch. Byron Thompson is a complete professional. The man has presented before the Supreme Court of The United States....do you really need to know more? Everyone in court knows him and trust me when I tell you that having him at your side brings along instant credibility and respect from the judge and clerks. It was so obvious to me when I was standing in court. Mr Thompson helped me make the best decisions for myself and my children during a time that I was emotionally compromised. Don't take a chance. Hire the best. You will be glad you did. read more

No one should use these people. The office staff is beyond rude, you will not get your phone calls returned. Moving forward is like pulling teeth. Everything is mailed to you and no communication is flowing. Worst experience of my entire life using this firm. Don't make the same mistake. read more

It's interesting how my previous review of this law office has somehow been removed. I originally hired Blake Thompson to be my attorney. After one 20 minute trial, he pawned me off to another attorney named Jeff Valladolid who was ill prepared, made promises to me in conference but then didn't bring them up in court. When it got to the point that we were going to have to part ways due to a lack of communications, I sent repeated requests to Blake Thompson who was the attorney I hired to represent me but he would even so much as call me back, His office it no longer representing me and the BAR association will be my next call about their lack pr professionalism and doing the old bait and switch with their clients and unreliable attorneys.. Now they want an additional $1900 from me and of which $400 if for incomplete phone calls on their behalf. Im sorry, but I didn't hire Mr. Valladolid, but Mr Blake Thompson and since I have paid your office $10,000 in retainer for Blake Thompson, I would like the services I pad for. I did not hire Mr Valladolid and never spoke to Blake Thompson about him handling my case. When I did try to voice my concerns, they filed a motion to be removed as counsel and still want money from me. Unbelievable. It is people like this that give attorneys bad names. He's almost as bad a Peter Timothy Pitullo. read more

I hired Blake Thompson to represent me in court and the one and only time he appeared on my behalf, I was extremely pleased. After that, I was passed off to another attorney who did a horrible job. He ignored my requests to tell the courts of my ex-wife's court order violations, he did not provide me documentation that I repeatedly asked for and when he had difficulty connecting with me while I was recovering from major surgery, he filed paperwork to be relieved as counsel. I sent numerous emails and left messages for Blake Thompson to speak with me to clear up the matter but all I received was a letter which said he would not respond. It's to bad that one attorney can tarnish the image of the whole firm but it seems that did not care much for customer services and or were intimidated by the unprofessional and hostile tactics of my ex's attorney. Thank you for nothing T&T Family Law. I hope others look elsewhere for representation. read more

My experience with Thompson & Thompson far exceeded my expectations!! All you need to know before walking into this law firm is Jeffery Valladolid is who you want to represent you. I originally used yelp to find Thompson & Thompson the comment below from 2014 alarmed me, but after doing my research, and talking to friends who had used them I had to give them a chance. I came in to Thompson and Thompson for a consultation with Bryon Thompson he reassured me that my custody case would be a breeze. Mr. Thompson's knowledge and reassurance set the tone for my whole journey and I could not be more satisfied. He handed me off to Jeffery Valladolid who I sat down with a few days after hiring him. He is singularly professional, knowledgeable, honest, upfront, ethical and respectful. Mr. Valladolid took the time to explain every step of the way in complete detail. I felt comfortable enough to ask him questions because he would ALWAYS give me every single outcome or scenario(good and bad). I was never nervous or unsure in court. Jeffery was well prepared and extremely professional. He was able to help me gain full custody of my child. If your looking for someone who is knowledgeable and professional Jeffery is your guy. He is a graceful shark who impressively uses his vast knowledge of the law; best word to describe him is smooth. Thompson & Thompson's paralegals are easy to work with and the staff is very accommodating. This was such a painless process for me and I highly recommend! You get more than what you pay for and that is rare to find! read more
