So, I made myself available by reserving the time on Friday. 9:00am Friday rolls around and there was a no show by the Owner. Therefore, I continued to wait thinking the Owner might be running late. 10:00am then 10:30am, then 11:00am rolls around STILL NO SHOW by Owner of Farris Hardwood Services, even though his business is listed less than 5 miles away. Finally I call James Farris, the Owner at 11:00am. Upon answering the phone, I indicated that I thought (or rather new we had an appointment at 9:00am. He acknowledged that we did, then said that "something come up", and that he met to call me. I then ask why he didn't. James Farris had no answer, but then attempted to commit to another time. I SAID "NO THANKS", DON'T CALL ME, I WILL CALL YOU IF i EVER AND THINK i NEED AND COULD EXPECT TO GET A TRUE COMMITMENT FROM YOU AS TO WHEN TO EXPECT YOU TO PROVIDE THOSE SERVICES.

They took…read moredown many large trees, created a new driveway, filled in and planted lovely trees where the old driveway was, removed huge dead scrubs and designed and installed and new landscaped bed with irrigation, and created a large irrigated lawn where there was once a wooded sloped area filled with poison ivy, ferns, and lots of small trees and roots. I can't say enough good things about the LaCross crew. Jesse is a very friendly and kind guy, and, unlike a previous review, I found Jesse's response time and followup time incredibly fast. If I gave him a call or sent him a message, he would always follow up immediately. He is also very flexible! He took his time and worked with me on ideas and budget, and when I changed my mind about something halfway through the project, he was totally flexible and his crew was there at 8:30 the next morning switching things out for me. The LaCross crew was at my home for a couple of weeks and every single one of them was friendly, respectful, and very hardworking. At the end of every workday, their materials were left neatly organized and our property was totally cleaned up. Having a large landscaping project like this in the middle of the summer could have been disruptive, but these guys worked very hard and quickly, were super responsive and friendly, and made the whole experience an enjoyable and successful one!
