If you are new in hamburg and need a GP, here is the place to go…read more I can only talk about Dr. Bernhardt but they share the room with two gps. Dr. Bernhardt is friendly and he explains everything, he always take patients first. He is no body who would give you a medicine even when this would be the easiest solution without discussion an alternative way that would be better for you. Don't get me wrong he is not the one who wouldn't prescribe hard drugs (he really do that) but if there is a better alternative and time to try that first he will suggest that. I like him and i recommend him to everyone, even my parents.

Went to see Dr. Bernhardt today, taking Phil's review as a recommendation, and he seems a…read morethoroughly nice chap. His English is good (much better than my German) but not quite as fluent as I had been expecting. He recommended that I stop the medications that I'd been prescribed in a walk-in weekend clinic, and just rest my injured elbow as much as possible. I was offered a few days off work, which was nice, but after a discussion as to whether it would help my healing (not really), I decided to come to work. The only slightly negative part of the experience was that the receptionist had a slightly terse phone manner. She in fact turned out to be really nice in person, so I guess it was a language thing. I should learn better German.
