Drop taxes off last of January..STILL DON'T HAVE THEM.. Marie Young would have had them done weeks…read moreago.

PLEASE READ THIS WARNING BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!…read more I decided to ask this company to do our taxes last year against the warnings of several friends and I am writing to prevent anyone else from making the same mistake. After submitting what I thought to be all of my information before April 15, my last correspondence with them was April 16, asking one final question. The reality was that this company did not do my taxes on time, did not suggest an extension, and I found out toward the end of 2014 that my taxes had not been submitted. I had no idea. After not receiving a refund or notice that I owed any money, I began to call and email the company without any response. My taxes were finally submitted on September 25 and I was hit with a penalty and a change in my status with the IRS. I had no idea that they had not been submitted on April 15. Upon becoming aware of the reality of the situation, I was misinformed about the impact this would have regarding my standing with the IRS. Mistakes happen, and I tried to find a solution with the principal of the company's son. As we discussed this blunder and tried to peaceably resolve the situation, he antagonized me with a comment, "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know you were an expert on the IRS". All I was seeking was closure. I went to the principal to try and find someone to deal professionally with me. After a conversation I emailed to ask him to attempt to rectify the situation and he did not respond. I am going to file an official complaint with the IRS and I strongly recommend that you do not deal with Accounting "Professionals". There are many other services in town; please find one that will be honest, admit to their mistakes, respond to phone calls or emails, not antagonize you, and actually do what you hire them to do. I can't believe this company stays in business with such practices and lack of accountability.
