I had a temporary crown put on Thursday at my normal dentist while my permanent crown gets made. After just 12 hours the temporary crown popped off and the at home glue was not working. My dentist is closed on Fridays like most others. I called Bellevue Family Dentistry and spoke to Meredith. She understood my situation and was able to shift a few things around and get me in within two hours. This is unheard of as I am not a patient of there's. The staff here is phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly and they were able to mold a new crown for me in less than 45 minutes. The pricing was extremely fair too as they do not take my insurance. I cannot say enough about Bellevue Family Dentistry. If you are looking for a new dentist I would HIGHLY recommend you give them a try.

The doctor himself seemed very competent and friendly. After my cleaning I was not asked for money upfront. That might be because the person who usually takes payments was not there. I was shocked when I got the bill and discovered that it was over $300 AFTER Humana had paid their portion. For just a cleaning and bite wing x-rays?! But, OK, I don't generally have a lot of problems with my teeth, so I was just planning on asking to go in less often - every nine months instead of six for cleanings. Recently I was having some pain (not sure if it's sinusitis or tooth problem) so I called the office to attempt to get an appointment. I called three times a day for two days straight and only to discover that apparently they are not answering the phone anymore. I'd get a recording asking me to leave a message and they would call me back. I did that. Never got a call back. This doesn't seem like a very efficient or caring way to run a business. When I started searching for another dentist I discovered that I cannot use my Humana Insurance there anymore. Altogether not a great experience!

The front office staff, can be a bit argumentative - especially when told something seemed off (like the billing). Like many people, I have dental insurance. Incredibly good dental insurance. In 2021, when I started seeing Dr. Franz, he was in-network as verified by my insurance and his office, and was to be paid at 100% for preventative care. This office insists on billing medical insurance first, then my dental insurance after that which is odd, but okay. Come to find out nearly 3 years later, they've had billing problems BACK TO 2021 and never said anything. They weren't paid at 100% in 2021 as they should have been. But instead of calling me to inquire, they just let it sit. And sit. And sit. FOR YEARS. Then, after my cleaning today I was presented with a $600+ bill and told they would "only charge me $28 today." Then, the receptionist (Taryn) tried to charge my credit card for the full $600+ amount. Seriously?! I informed her that when I bought the dental insurance policy (in July 2021), I was told all preventative care is paid at 100% for in-network providers. Taryn said that Dr. Franz is still in-network but my insurance doesn't pay 100%. I got in the car and called the insurance company - guess what? In-network is paid at 100%, as I'd told the office. The thing is, without any notice, Dr. Franz's office dropped my dental insurer and became "out of network" in January 2022. When I called back and talked to Taryn about what the insurance said, her response was "well, I'm sure we sent you an email." No, they didn't. Needless to say I had her cancel my next 6mo appointment there and then. Like any profession, dentists and doctors have a duty to uphold a reasonable standard of business - and that's not it. If you choose this office, I'd double check that he's still in-network no less than 2 weeks right before your appointment.

At some point I gave up, but I found dentists of Eastgate and they had availability within the week which was kind of crazy. Did a little research and I can understand why as the dentists here at this location are fairly "new" - experience within the last 6 years. But that's not going to stop me. I'm getting my teeth cleaned LOL... Anywho, I was pleasantly surprised that I had a pretty good experience! The establishment is clean, staff are friendly, and it looks like they have up to date equipment and technology compared to the last dentist I had here at Cincinnati. And they didn't even push to do any type of upgrades etc. Which is nice! Teeth cleaning went well, overall a good experience. I went to Wright dental because of my insurance. I left a doctor that was out of network that I…read morereally liked and had fair prices. I had to have a bridge replaced. The office/ billing person took a long amount of time to run my insurance and she called them with questions. She came back with a price for my portion of the procedure. I had to pay this price in full before it could be started. I also asked that they get the X-ray from my other dentist since I had all ready paid for them, when I made the appointment. The dental assistant said they did not get my xrays , but that they would not charge me for them. The temporary crown was not comfortable and I had more pain with the temporary than I did with the loose bridge. I felt as if they rushed the temporary since it was a holiday weekend. Today I received a bill for 128 more dollars. No list of charges just a PAY NOW bill. I noticed when looking on my insurance that the out of network doctor s prices were covered in full. So looks like my visits and my family will gravitate to the dentist with reasonable prices and a honor when giving pricing for procedures. I have had other procedures at my other dentist and I have never been billed more. So your 128.00 bill cost you much more since my spouse needs a crown.

First I had to pay a new patient deposit. Never had to do this for any of my previous dentists. I should have been given a new customer deposit instead for the service I was about to receive. During my initial appointment I was told that i needed quite a bit of work totaling $6220. Basically was told a few other things i needed not included in this price as well. The first item i did need done but the rest seemed way more than my last dentist had recommended. Scare tactics that made me angry. I prepaid for the first service/appointment ($2075) in full before any work had been done. After the visit and once my insurance finally paid their portion I asked to be reimbursed what was remaining ($875). Had to call several times to get this rectified to only be told I did not know how my dental insurance worked. Fast forward to my wife and daughter going for cleanings. Never got a bill only a late payment notice saying we owed for these visits in full. I had my insurance statement showing they had paid their part several months before I received the late notice. Conover lost the payment somehow. Had to go in their office in person because over the phone they could not understand what I was telling them. Went in and paid my part and told them they needed to rebill my insurance. Got another late payment notice for this same bill stating if not taken care of it could go to collections. They could not even transfer our dental records to our new dentist correctly. My new dentist visit revealed I did not in fact need all the above work. The work i did have at Conover still hurts as well. But hey they give you some cool socks. I would look elsewhere for dental care. This place does not treat you like a customer only like a bank account.
