Just here for the weekend and was looking for interesting things to do. The family and I have been wanting to try some escape rooms and hadn't found the opportunity to get to it, so here we were in San Angelo with some time to kill. We found "Think in a Box" on Yelp and figured why not, we went in and got a room right away, super friendly staff, and had a great experience with our first escape room. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next day and we all had a thrilling time. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great puzzling adventure look no further than Think in a Box!! Additionally the following day we had plans that fell through so we figured why not see if they had a room available. It was a Monday and they are typically closed but happened to have a corporate group going and even though they were technically closed they invited us in and made accommodations and we got the "Industrial Chaos" room and it was the best experience we had yet. I'd never been to an escape room before, but have always wanted to. Think in a Box was a great first experience. I went with my family, seven of us trying to get out of a fallout shelter. As a long-time puzzle enthusiast, I really appreciated how well-crafted the puzzles were. It was also great to work together with my family; the entire experience is designed to be enjoyed by working together as a group. The owners made us feel very comfortable, and were very good when we did (I'm not too proud to admit) need some hints. They gave us very gentle nudges, just enough to get us in the right direction. It was a terrific experience, and if you're reading this review, you're clearly interested in the escape room concept, so you should certainly go to Think in the Box! read more

I love these escape rooms! Ive been through all four (goldrush, fallout shelter, bomblastic, and industrial chaos) and they are well made, fun, and challenging. By far my favorite was fallout shelter, however industrial chaos was#2 on my list. I came here with a few of my friends each time and i was never disappointed. The cost of the rooms was well worth the price, and these are great events for friends, and also help build up your teamwork skills! Some of the rooms are built for more players, like bomblastic and industrial chaos should probably haveat least 5 or 6 people (in my opinion) because of just how many challenges you have to complete. Fallout and gold rush could go smaller and 8 people may be a bit much. Overall these rooms are awesome!! read more

This was my first experience with an escape room and it was great! I did the Gold Rush Cabin room with a group of 5 and it went very well. The puzzles were challenging enough to be a lot of fun without being discouraging at all. John and Lisa were very hospitable and told us all about their great local business. I will definitely be back for another challenge since they have such a great range of different rooms. Everybody should try this place out, regardless of age or background! read more

Amazing experience! Management is fantastic and so cheerful, and helpful while booking rooms! Have been to 3 different rooms in 2 days, loving each one. Every room is its own special experience, and are definitely worth going through. It's such a thrill getting through that exit door with just a few minutes to spare, then being able to use any props from the room for a celebratory photo that employees are happy to take for you! Loved this place!! Our game master was an amazing story teller and was the kindest!! The owner was super flexible and was able to help me through any questions I had while booking online. Worth every penny and did the novice level room gold rush, our 7 year old to adults were both able to engage and solve mysteries. Angel was our guide and she did an exceptional job of creating the mysterious atmosphere and dropping hints as needed! Would definitely come back again when in town. read more

This place was absolutely amazing. I am from Goodfellow AFB and they helped us out so much by providing us with something challenging and really fun to do indoors. Would definetly recommend. Loved it so much I came back for a second time in one day!!! If you love being challenged, and having fun, this is the place. Great prices too for amazing quality fun! My friends and my first experience. We scheduled online to do a particular escape room. The owner called us and asked if this was our first time. When we told her yes she suggested we do a different escape room as the one we scheduled was the most difficult one, and she wanted us to have a very positive experience. We were impressed. We had the time of our lives. The difficulty she suggested was perfect. The staff was so nice! We will definitely be back! read more

This place is amazing, such an amazing experience. Me and 5 friends went to celebrate her birthday and had such a great time. What a great way to spend the evening. On top of how great the owners were and helpful when we got stuck but it was very service dog friendly, not only was he accepted but there wasn't any loud noises or shock points that would trigger my ptsd or his alertness ... were going again very soon. read more

Awesome experience! I've been through 10+ rooms at 5 locations and these folks are top tier! From the time we walked in, until we walked out it was a very clean, respectable business with humble, polite owners. The owners sat and chatted with us and made the theme of the room come alive. We came here last weekend and did the fallout shelter room. This place is run like a well oiled machine, we had such a good time! There were 6 of us all together which is definitely a must in the room, it was the perfect amount of challenging mixed with a ton of fun! If you ever get a chance to try them out, definitely take the opportunity to do so! You won't regret it! read more

We've done a lot of escape rooms in a lot of different towns, and this was by far one of the most professional and entertaining experiences we've had! We chose the Gold Rush Cabin because it was a family room, and they even let us take our 3 and 6 year olds in with us! They were so nice and accommodating to our kids! Worth every penny! read more

Went with a group the other day. We did the twist one and it was a lot of fun! The people there are very energetic and get excited along side of you. I've been to a few different escape rooms across the US and this one had the most lively and fun staff. It definitely has became my favorite and I can't wait to try some of the other rooms. read more

Think in a box was a great time! It is an interactive mystery game where you race against the clock to try and escape. Lisa and John have really made this place a friendly and inviting atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun date idea or as a family outing. read more
