This golf course has the worst customer service i've ever received at a golf course. Every single time I come here they tell me I can't play a full 18. I even had a reservation and they still said I couldn't play 18! What a joke! It's a decent course but the reservations and customer service ruins it. This course needs to adjust its hours to sundown like every other golf course in the country. Similar reviews in here about this issue. read more

What a hidden gem. This course is unbelievable. There is so much character here. I hope to return one day with friends to play this course. There was hardly anyone playing on a Friday. I couldn't believe it. The fairways and greens are better than any in Houston. The General Manager and the lady in the pro shop we incredible. Hats off to them. read more

You got to love a course thinks about the players not $. Very challenging from the black tees. I would recommend this track to anyone!

This course has plenty of potential! Fairways are great, greens are in pretty good shape most days. The tee boxes are pretty level, which is great! However the grass on the tee boxes is not right, it's very spongy, you may need a very long tee. A tee box should be firm, not one that you sink in. I think this can be fixed by changing the grass type and or mowing much lower? The bunkers....so many. Are they waste bunkers? I think so, many have rocks and mud. An idea, remove half of them and or make them smaller, then rebuild with quality sand and maintain them. I also like the idea of making these bunkers into pot bunkers like you see on other links style courses!! Much easier to maintain than what we have here currently. Overall, a great course design. For the price, it's great. Keep up the great work here and we all hope to see some improvements in the future! read more

What a great course in the middle of scrub-brush country! A very (emphasis on very) challenging course! It is long with what I consider to be a ridiculous amount of sand traps and bunkers, but that is part of it's charm. You must play this course smart or you will likely become very frustrated. The greens were very well maintained, the fairways nice and overall a very clean course. If you travel to San Angelo and golf this is a must!! read more

Let me start by saying I love the course. My issue is the people who work there and their twilight rules. It's summer and sunset is at 8:40pm. However, the carts have to be in by 7:45. I want to golf when I get off work. I would like to be able to play an entire round, but the A**** in the club house make sure to come by TWICE while I'm golfing to remind me that the carts have to be in by 7:45. He has the nerve to say "not on the way in, they have to be in". I understand they want to go home also, but they elected to be in this industry. All other golf courses I have been at let you play until you can no longer see the ball! This would be the perfect golf course if the staff and the rules were friendlier to twilight players! read more

What a surprise in San Angelo! Not that I am saying anything bad about the town, but you wouldn't expect a course like this to be here. It is in better shape then most courses in Houston. Greens were incredibly slow, but in great shape. I noticed a slight difference in how good the fairways were on the front nine compared to the back nine. Just seemed to be in a little better shape, but all around a great course. We have a ranch in Eden and I will be back here often! One possible bad thing though...........and it's a bad sign at a golf course. Thankfully I got to the course around 8am on a Friday and the course was pretty wide open. But they do allow foursomes to go off number 10, I noticed, so don't be surprised if someone cuts in front of you. By the time I finished my round, around noon, the course was packed! And I mean packed! There was a 5some teeing off on number 10, 3 of them were walking!!!!!! This course oddly allows a lot of people to walk! On a weekend! AND, there were several people in jeans!!! I know I have a lot of "!!!" marks but my god, when you see walkers it already worries me, then I see jeans and envision a 6 hour round behind a bunch of hackers! SO.....my experience was great, but I fear if I had shown up a couple of hours later it would have been a disaster. Get out early and play during the week if possible. Fantastic course. Oh, and one last thing....I didn't have a tee time and the guy in the pro-shop made somewhat of a big deal about it. Folks, this isn't Pebble Beach, TPC Saw Grass, etc.....when the course is wide open it's not an issue if I have a tee time. Let's be realistic. read more

Very nice golf course and very well maintained. The greens were being worked on at the time we played there, but from the looks of it, they were really tough. The overall atmosphere is really nice and it is tucked away from any heavy trafficked roads. Would love to play here again sometime! read more
