Dinner our first night - the chef totally made up a veggie tasting menu for us My had seen veggie options when we made reservations but when we arrived tonight, the menu was all meat & seafood So the Mt inquired & the nice waitress went to injure & came back with a wonderful vegetarian selection for us Started with Rotkäppchen sparkling wine then a Dornfelder with our meal & ended with a nice sweet reisling *Tomato butter with avocado-olive tampenade *Gazpacho *Eggplant & tomato & avocado salad - mr said it tastes just like the tartar he used to eat *Gnocchi w/ chanterelles * Creme brûlée with banana-pear ice cream and berries * Chocolate chili cake with gooseberry ice cream Thank you for creating a fantastic meal especially for us! Easily the sole true "hâute" cuisine restaurant in Quedlinburg and a must if you're looking for something above traditional German food. Not sure this is quite Michelin star-worthy, but the interesting use of exotic fruits and spices makes it very very close. Creativity was just what I was in need of, the staff were professional but not overly friendly. Nothing was too salty or overcooked. All in all, a very good experience from beginning to end. read more

Arriving in Quedlinburg hungry, it was a selecton of many Restaurants me and my friends made. We were not dissapointed. The portions are huge, so I only ordered an appetiser and I was totally satisfied. Good tasting food, excellent service and very quiet during the lunch so we were able to have a friendly conversation w/out screaming at each other. If I ever return to Quedlinburg again, I'll make sure to have lunch or dinner at Theophano Restaurant. read more

Awful customer service! We were excited to have a special dinner after reviewing their website, and their claims of Michelin worthy cuisine. The website states they are open till midnight. We arrived to closed glass doors and could see the restaurant doors open, candles burning on empty tables. It was about 7:45PM. We called the number listed and were told that unless we had reservations, there were no tables available. As we were leaving, a couple came out and said they just had dinner, and there were at least 20 tables available. We approached the hostess only after the couple who was leaving, pretended to have left something behind, therefore, the doors opened, and asked again for a dinner table. The hostess said they were closing right now. It was hardly 8PM. No sign at the door, no mentioning anywhere of reservations being required. Apparently this "star cook" does not care for his customers. I am taking my money to other places who appreciate my business. read more
