Dr. Kim is amazing. During our initial exam, he was very thorough. We tested over 20 (possibly over 40) allergens and discussed alternative methods of treatment rather than going straight into allergy shots, which I appreciated. I ended up taking the shots and his office couldn't be more accommodating. He fully explained the commitment and made sure that I would be up for it. Even so, they make taking the shots as easy as possible for the time constrained. They have open wait times for shots and their waiting room is really comfortable and equipped with wifi. His staff are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable themselves. His office managers are a pleasure to work with (a rarity considering the fact that you've got the health insurance factor). I think it's pretty rare to find a great Dr. as well as an amazing staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Kim. I've been dealing with my allergies all of my life and this is the first time I feel like I'm getting them under control. Although he emphasizes that allergy shots aren't a cure, I feel like the level of care and knowledge that I am receiving is top notch. read more

It's really hard to find a Doctor's office with great customer service these days. I was promptly greeted, checked in, and brought to the back to start my visit. This is my first time getting allergy tested but my millionth doctors visit in a Northern Virginian facility. I wouldn't lie to you when I say they have great customer service. You're able to complete all the paperwork easily online prior to your visit, so the check in process was fast. Throughout my testing Dr. Kim throughly explained the process, him and his staff kept checking in on me while we waited for results. Super all around! Excellent first impression from the Office staff, they are welcoming and personable and very easy to interact with. Dr. Kim is easy to talk to, perceptive and he genuinely listens. When I came to see him almost 5 years ago I was having extreme difficulty with my asthma. Dr Kim and the staff have been amazing with my son. They're very gentle and patient with him. The admin/clinical staff always seem to be in a great mood. My son barely has time to play with the trucks or trains in the waiting room, they always call him back promptly. My 3 yr old knows the drill now, he gets to pick a toy out of the treasure chest after the visit. I could not have found a better allergist/office. Dr Kim is very knowledgeable. This review is not directed to the doctor himself, but rather to the uncourteous and rude staff that schedules appointments. I was recently diagnosed w an allergy condition that needs to be treated as soon as possible. After careful research, I decided to go to Dr Kim because of his online reviews. I called to make an appointment for a consultation and testing and was told he is booked out all the way to November which is fine. However, given the time sensitivity of my issue, I asked if the office made exceptions to see patients on an urgent basis or anything. I was quipped with a rude and insensitive "umm, yea, no, we don't do that here". You're a medical practice that deals with patients and can't even pretend or fake that you care? I get it, there are other patients and you don't want to be unfair, but to treat a patient who is evidently concerned/already stressed after his other doctor told him to go see an allergist ASAP like a nuisance just says everything I need to know. This was somewhat a blessing in disguise because I was able to find an allergist who specializes in my condition and she can see me on Monday and the staff could not be any nicer. That's the type of service that every patient deserves. read more

I recently visited Dr. Kim of Allergy Partners of No.VA at the Chantilly location and I was beyond impressed by the entire experience. The reception staff is extremely friendly, polite, and efficient. I was greeted immediately after walking into the office and the wait to see the doc was less than 5 minutes; it probably took that long only because I was not able to register online and had to fill in the paperwork there. Dr. Kim was not only attentive and empathetic, but he was also hilarious! He tried his best to make the unpleasantness of seasonal allergies more bearable. After the initial diagnosis, his staff follow through all the way with the pharmacy by calling my insurance twice to get the right RX's. This is the third allergist I am visiting in the last 2 months and I have to say I absolutely love this doctor! I wish he could me my everything doctor he is so wonderful! To start, the staff is incredible! They actually answer the phone!!! A live person! I got lost going to the office and someone kindly gave me directions to their building. And everytime I called before my visit someone answered the phone. After my arrival, I didn't wait long for my appointment (which I hope is a regular thing). They took me in to get my vitals and the staff were so friendly and professional. I have been very apprehensive about my allergy so to have such kind thoughtful and caring staff make me feel welcome meant a lot. Dr. Kim saw me right away too. He asked me really great questions and also let me ask questions. He took time to review my blood tests from the other allergists and really showed that he cares for his patients. We have been a patient with Dr. Kim and his wonderful staff at Allergy Partners of Northern Virginia since 2013. From the beginning Dr. Kim has been excellent about discussing our concerns and helping us understand our options. One of my favorite things about working with Dr. Kim is that he isn't just working with me, the parent. He always takes the time to discuss our plan of action with my son. Initially we tried medications but that did not make a significant improvement. We ultimately decided to do shots. Before starting them, he explained everything to my son, getting his buy-in. My son never complains about going to get his shots because he understands why we are doing them and how they are improving his life. Throughout the process, Dr. Kim's staff has been amazing. First off, I went to about 5 doctors and he was the only Dr that diagnosed me correctly with costocondritis ( which is not even in his "feild").
