The cafe was busy even though it was Monday, but we got seated within 5 minutes. Indoor seating and takeaway available. The waitresses were nice and I liked the decor. I got the smoked salmon on scrambled eggs with brown bread, while my friend got the Irish breakfast. Neither of us could finish our plates, which were substantial. My dish was on the saltier side; it looked like the tables around us were order more of the sweet items. Overall, it's a cute spot that's good for friends as well as families.

Consistently dissapointing. The first time I visited here, there was about a 40 minute wait, which…read morewas completely understandable as I hadn't made a reservation and the place was busy. When I was seated my server was friendly and promptly took my order. Then the wait began. 30 minutes, one hour, and then an hour and 30 minutes. I was tryiny to be patient as I noticed no one was getting their food. I figured maybe the kitchen was really backed up. It was then I saw patrons who had been seated after I had been getting their food. My server then came up to be and apologetically said they had forgotten to put my order in. I was tempted to wait longer but was incredibly hungry by this point. I went to the front desk, explained the situation, and asked to pay for my cider and go. The woman there sighed and told me to "just go" no apology, no semblance of professionalism just irritation. I have tried several times to go back but unfortunately have been met with the same dismissive attitude. Overall, it's a no for me.

In August we enjoyed an Oceania cruise that stopped at beautiful Cork, Ireland…read more From there we took an excursion to the quaint town of Kinsale, Ireland. It was so colorful because all the shops and cafes were painted different colors. Our favorite place in Kinsale was the Milk Market Cafe. We enjoyed their outdoor seating on a pedestrian street. Another traveler in our group recommended the Apple Cake. It was divine! The apple slices were cut very thin and it was topped with delightful crunchies. The crust was light and soft. The apple cake was like a wonderful tart and was served warm with a scoop of home-made vanilla ice cream...oh my! It was SO good! Eating it on the outdoor seating, on a perfect 70 degree sunny day, was equally delightful. Don't miss the little shops nearby and definitely dont miss the Apple Cake at "Milk Market Cafe" in Kinsale!

The lodge was smaller than what I expected, but seems really nice, I loved the interior design. When it comes to the coffee and food, it seems really small for the prices we paid. In fact, the coffee was so small, that my friend & I had to order a second cup of coffee. The food, was very tasty, but as I said the portions were small. I ordered the Avo on Sourdough & my husband ordered scrambled egg. My husband was disappointed with his portion as well, he was given one slice of toast with his eggs, it would have been great if he got 2 or 3 slices, for the price we were paying. At the end, we went to pay, we were told to pay together. I looked at the receipt when we got home and they had overcharged us. I have tried to contact them about it, but there was no answer. I hope to contact them again & I hope they do answer. I would recommend the food here, but the service can be quite slow, some of the staff are friendly, where others are not & you might get overcharged (make sure to check your receipt before leaving).
