Very interesting place. Not sure how I missed it in the past. The local salesman recommended I give…read moreit a try so I did. Huge parking lot that was already very full at 6pm. They do not take reservations so it is first come first serve. I waited maybe 5-10 minutes and was seated at a booth. I hate taking up a booth at a busy place when it is just me but that is where they seated me. Hostess was super sweet but spoke very low. Background noise and being hard of hearing that made for several repeats. We worked through it. Interior is very Asian. Some looks to be very old Asian. Not sure how many years this place has been here but it appears to be several. After reviewing the huge menu I discussed with my server going with something different and went with the nest after she explained it. Sounded different and it was. It is also huge. Lots of shrimp and scallops. And the veggies block out the noodles that are sopping up the juice below. I was unable To finish it all. Wow it was good. The place is super crowded and super busy. They definitely move folks through. Great food and dining experience.

Hello friends, This…read moreplaces has been on my list for some time. Finding myself in Carolina Beach; we headed north to try this place out. We were told 1.5 hour wait. We took the trip so we waited......and waited......and waited x's 5. Finally seated at this point we would have jumped in the pond and ate one of those koi fish. The Food was fine. Nothing to write home about. Would've been 5x's better had it at least been warm. I believe there HAS to be better options around. However I think the ambiance, decorations, photo ops etc is what sells the place. No biggie. I would return. I checked it off my list.

This is a well kept secret in downtown Winston-Salem, located at 680 West Fourth Street at the…read morecorner of 4th and Spring Streets. The food here is unique and excellent. Not your typical, Olive Garden-style Italian fare. The menu is relatively small, with a good variety of salads, starters, and main courses. Quanto Basta is quickly becoming one of our favorites. I said a well kept secret because we have need seen it crowded. The atmosphere is about as good as it gets. There is authentic music playing lightly in the background. Noticeable but not intrusive. Just right for quiet conversation with your group or a friendly couple at the next table. Our server was Jason and he was excellent. He presented the evening's specials politely and answered out questions knowledgeably. We started with a cocktail. Carolyn had an Aperol Spritzer and I ordered the Jack Daniel's Italian Sour. One of the best sours I have ever had. Jack and Amaretto with a fresh made sour mix. Not too sweet, and was bourbon forward. We ordered Fettuccine John Angelo - fresh made pasta with an Alfredo style sauce, and Pancetta. Served with wedges of homemade rosemary focaccia baked fresh daily. We asked that it be split so we could both have some. We also ordered the Veal Scaloppine Alla Saltimbocca. A tender slice of veal with sage, prosciutto and melted mozzarella with white wine butter sauce. The kitchen wouldn't split that dish, but Jason brought us an extra plate and a sharp knife. Both dishes were delicious. Both were an ample serving that made it easy to share. It was just the right amount. The white wine butter sauce was spectacular (and the bread was perfect for sopping it up). Note: sopping is a southern thing, and perfectly permissible here. Seldom do we order dessert, but tonight we couldn't resist the Affogato Brownie, an Espresso - soaked, double dark chocolate brownie topped with vanilla gelato and amarena cherries. It was so good. They have an extensive wine list and some craft beers as well. Here's the best part - the prices were quite reasonable. Two cocktails ($13 each), two entrees, and dessert for $100 including a 20% tip! As I said, Quanto Basta is quickly becoming a favorite. We will be back and hope we will see you there!

While our first two experiences left us wondering what all the fuss was about, this latest dinner proved that sometimes good things really do come to those who wait (and keep making reservations). Our party of four settled in with high hopes and rumbling stomachs. Three of us couldn't resist the siren call of the crab cakes, while our fourth companion went rogue with the shrimp and grits. The crab cakes delivered everything you want from this coastal classic--generously packed with sweet crab meat and impossibly light, paired with creamy mashed potatoes that provided the perfect canvas. The shrimp and grits, while delicious, couldn't quite dethrone our reigning champion (Cape Fear Seafood still holds that crown), but they put up an admirable fight. The real showstoppers, however, were the appetizers. My half-dozen Sneads Ferry oysters arrived like little ocean jewels--impeccably fresh, properly briny, with just enough natural sweetness to make you close your eyes and sigh. The mussels swam in a sauce so good I considered asking for a straw, and the calamari managed that rare feat of being both smoky and completely free of any "low tide" funk that plagues lesser versions. Our Sauvignon Blanc proved the ideal supporting actor, crisp and bright enough to complement without competing. The service struck that sweet spot between professional and personable--attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious. The atmosphere isn't quite my cup of tea, but word on the street is they're relocating, so here's hoping the new digs will match the elevated kitchen performance. Sometimes the third time really is the charm. Catch has finally caught up to its reputation.

We had a large group and the server was very attentive to us. My soda cup was super super dirty which was gross. We ordered the Brussels and shrimp for the appetizer and those were PHENOMENAL. Shrimp were so flavorful and the Brussels were some of the best I've had. I got the swordfish as my main and it really wasn't hot. Kind of warm but not really as hot as it should have been. I thought the flavor was good but the portion was a little disappointing for the price. We got some coconut cake for dessert which was super tasty and moist. Mixed feelings but I'd give them another shot!

It's spring break and azalea fest...so that worked out perfectly. We were greeted at the counter and the nice young gentleman asked if my daughter could have a cookie. Sure! Giant chocolate chips, so good. I ordered and they even offered me a coffee while I waited. I chose the Haley on a long roll. Nice crusty bread, fresh mozzarella, turkey, arugula and balsamic. Honestly, haven't had a hoagie that good in years. We also had their pasta salad, equally delicious. Plenty of seating inside, with a lot of cool photos on the walls. It felt just like being home. Can't wait to go back!

Why do they bother to list out ingredients when you cant even see them? all i saw picking it apart was the cheese. its oddly tasteless too. Clearly very poor quality produce used, any toddler could create a better sandwich id bet, if they cared not to pick out the cheapest poisons to consume. Egg sandwich sucked too. Flavorless mediocre antipasto salad. Desserts are so mediocre aswell. They stole the carrot cake I ordered. pound cake dry and flavorless. Trashy lays chips lazily thrown on as a side to everything. The "capri", the first thing im able to taste yet, the beef has a taste of raw tuna. Disgusting. Went into the trash. Along with all the money ive spent at this dumpster. The long rollon it has slightly better flavor than round roll, but is tough. Everywhere in wilmington ive been has been slightly less than mediocore, Mediocre ingredients everywhere, preperation doesnt matter at this point. even the "nicer" restuarants here. But this is just so so much worse. and oh the prices, the prices compelled me to write the review. Terrible service, I accidentally grabbed the wrong sandwich due to the terrible squeal the chef lets out. When I did, I was on the brink of getting splashed in a wave of diarrhea and urine, with how far the seams of his diaper had stretched. I guess he knows how much a customer can be peed on with the "food" they serve, and the seemingly good reviews they brag about getting in return.
