Unprofessional agency and does not carry out their recruiting mission with integrity. Michele has been approaching candidate with opportunities that look great on the book. She came to you to ask for referral and pitch opportunities that aligns with your interest. But if you're not giving her exactly what she needs, she won't bother to respond to your email or follow up. It was unpleasant to chat with her over the phone. The manner and attitude she delivers to the candidate was not genuine nor sincere. The application and hiring process can be personal. And people get busy and missed communication without bad intention. But when it became a communication pattern, you could tell the work attitude. It's reasonable to expect professional and respectful communication either from a client, recruiter or candidate perspective. Other recruiters from the creative agencies that I have worked with treat their applicant with respect and integrity. If you're looking for creative job opportunities, 24seven, JBC holdings, Aquent are the best agencies to work with. People in my networks have had great experiences with them in hiring or applying. read more

Disappointed in this agency as they do not hold up to their mission statement. I applied to a position, followed up with the recruiter, and never heard back. I don't think the people who work here are passionate at all. My recruiter specifically, Michele, was lazy. Sad to read reviews that were 5 stars a year ago... The worst agency I've ever worked with. The person I specifically worked with didn't care about placing me where I belong, she just cared about getting herself a paycheck (I was freelance). Not to mention the payroll department couldn't figure out how to print my paycheck which delayed me getting paid 2 weeks after I was supposed to. And even then it was an invalid check that I had to pay a fee to get the bank to cash out. Way better agencies in LA to turn to. Id rather be unemployed than deal with the Workshop ever again. read more

After applying with my resume to a few jobs through a fashion careers website, I received a call from Michal and we chatted briefly about my previous experience and what I was looking for (field, pay, location, etc.) She emailed me about 2 weeks later with an opportunity to interview with my dream company and I interviewed the next day. When I was offered the position she even helped to get me a little pay raise and 2 weeks later I started working. I really enjoyed working with this team and I continue to communicate with them about how things are going. I even got a little congratulatory gift from them sent to my office! Terrible, racist agency! Michal was the worst. The moment she understood that I'm not American, She became very rude. I drove all the way to DTLA and waited standing and I spent total of 2 minutes with Michal just for her to scratch out all over my resume and kept telling me that all the parts were irrelevant. Without even reading! She thought that my e-commerce management experience at a multi million dollar online clothing company was irrelevant (?!) I have Bachelors and Masters degree from the best university of my country and she scratched them out and told me "IT'S NOT EVEN AN AMERICAN UNIVERSITY" . She thought that my 8 years of high education was nothing because it wasn't an American University. She didn't cross my MBA because it was from an American University. We didn't talk about anything. She briefly asked 2 questions, did not care the response, of course. As I said, we spent 2 minutes together, while all the other candidates were sitting with the other recruiters for 10-15 minutes. She gave my resume back and I wasn't even sure, if we are done or we will continue with questions. Since she wasn't making any eye contact and was gossiping with another recruiter that sit next to us, I didn't even understand she is done. Terrible experience, very unprofessional people. EDIT : It is really unfortunate that Audrey calls me immature and says I have no interest to talk to her. First of all we have never exchanged our phone number or emails. So the only communication channel for us was Yelp. I responded her first message right away. I didn't notice her second message since Yelp is not a place that you check regularly, and she decided to call me immature. Also the message that I got from Audrey was saying that she wants to work with me so that rectify my experience with them. There is no one word mentions that Michal did not mean what she did, etc. Instead she told me that she reprimanded Michal already because of what she did. My review is not an accusation but an honest review about what happened. My intention wasn't and isn't hurting someone or a business. I'm a firm believer of women should empower women. However it is sad that Workshop La -even though they are all women, treated me completely different. There is a reason for three 5 stars review about Michal have been left in 2 hours after my review. They know they did something wrong and they think fake reviews is the solution. read more

Probably one of the worst agencies I've ever tried to find a job through. If you're constantly boasting about how you jobs for every job level, but choose to ignore those with less experience than others maybe you shouldn't promote that. I reached out a few times, never got an email back. It's quite annoying when job hunting is strenuous in itself, but when you reach out to an agency that is supposed to help you and they chose not to, it makes you question their intentions and the intentions of the company. I've talked to better agencies, and have found better job options through those other agencies. Don't bother with them. read more

Poor recruitment agency. After sending in my resume, which had relevant experience for the positions that were being hired, I never heard back. I followed up another time and never heard back to that. As everyone knows, persistence can be key so I yet again tried to reach out to this agency, this time by sending a general message to them on their website, noting how interested I was and my experience, in hopes that they would get back to me with interest in speaking. This in fact worked, and I was emailed by a Michele who told me she was interested in connecting with me and to send my resume in for review. I did as asked and waited a few days and never heard back again. I followed up another two times (over the course of a month and a half) and never heard back. Even if my resume was not a good fit or match, I would have assumed a business with mainly positive reviews would at least conduct more professionalism and respond. Even if it was an honest pass. What a disappointment. I'm happy to say I've had more success with 24seven and Robert Half and would recommend them instead. read more
