The day after I had a memorial service for my late husband and had just passed the 8th month's anniversary of his death, I was feeling much more at peace. Then the next day I get a text message from Heather & Carly, who are the owners of the Willows in Leonard, MI. The text message was accusing me of being angry with them and also not happy with them. I then wrote them a lengthy text telling them that I had forgiven them a long time ago. I also said that I am not angry or unhappy with them. I thought that they would be happy to hear this. Unfortunately they sent another text message telling me that mine was the first complaint that they had received in the 3.5 years of owning their group home/adult foster care home. I could NOT understand why they brought this all back up after 8 months! Then I noticed that I had an email from YELP telling me that my review had been read and that a new review had been posted by "Jude D". I read this review and they had given them a one star rating also. So I believe that the women at The Willows attributed that new review to me. I think that they thought that I left a second message using a different name. This is the only reason that I can think of as to why they would text me and bring this stuff up again after 8 months. I have moved on and I hope that they will also, but just in case they have not, I HAVE BLOCKED BOTH OF THEIR PHONE NUMBERS. I do not want to hear from them ever again! read more

The folks at the Willows have consistently made some of the hardest times of my family's lives a whole lot easier and less stressful than we thought it would be. The folks there truly care about their work and the people they're caring for and it truly shows. We left another, more expensive place that my Grandmother was having nothing but bad experiences at, moved her into the Willows and she has been so much happier and comfortable. Definitely give them a tour if you're in the need of services they offer for a loved one. read more

Having a family member be placed into assisted living is never easy. The staff at the Willlows Senior Living have been nothing but genuine and caring towards my grandmother and our entire family. They have communicated with us and made us feel extremely comfortable during our very emotional time. I don't know of many other places that would take the time and genuinely care about not only their residence, but the family as well. Very thankful for them! read more
