We stopped here for lunch while exploring Blanchland. It was cold and snowy outside, and this cafe was a cozy and welcoming respite from the chill. When you step inside, two rows of pastries and cakes under glass greet you on the counter. We all decided dessert was a must because they all looked delicious. I ordered the soup of the day, which was tomato and basil accompanied by a chunk of white bread and brown bread. It was very flavorful and warm. I also ordered a cafetière of coffee, which is how I want all my coffee from now on. I tried the Victoria sponge cake with cream and a layer of raspberry. It was perfectly sweet and was a great ending to the meal. I'd highly recommend this quaint cafe for lunch. read more
