After searching online and asking a few locals I stumbled across this hair salon. I went on to their website and was able to make an appointment straight from it, which worked great since you can see their schedule and find out what works for yours. They sent me emails and texts reminding me of my appointment the day before which I thought was awesome. I went to the salon and was greeted very nicely. The place is espectacular. Not just clean, but the decor is as if it came out of a magazine. Loved it! I was taken cared by Danielle. She was an absolute pleasure. I was offered drinks, among them water, wine, mimosas! Isn't that great? Danielle did a beautiful job with my hair. She was very friendly and just easy to talk to. I came out of there very happy!! Prices are decent, coming from the East Coast I thought it was pretty much the same I used to pay out there. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a real professional hair salon.

I had an appointment yesterday to have my hair cut with Ashley. I needed a fresh cut and style…read moreafter many winter months had taken their toll on my hair. I wanted to cut my hair a bit shorter, and Ashley took her time to not cut off too much at once and made sure I was still happy with the length. After a couple trims all around, I took almost 4 inches off. I'm so happy with how much lighter my hair feels, and the cut and layering looks great! Ashley also took time to put in some nice curls for style, and gave my make-up a touch-up at the end of our appointment. The salon is very clean and is in a great location downtown. I'm interested to go back next time to get a pedicure and manicure as well. Refreshments are offered at the beginning of appointments. The salon uses Davines products for hair care, which are all-natural and smell great. I purchased the Oi All In One Hair Milk that is great for heat protection and blow-drying. Would highly recommend this salon!

She offers the level of service I am used to in bigger cities, while honoring the cool Millwork District vibe I've come to love here. She's small town, Midwest friendly, yet big city skills and expertise. She spent over an hour learning about my hair, my lifestyle needs and made recommendations based on her understanding of my hair type. Her technical skill and attention to detail are on point and reflect her 20 years of experience. You will love the beautiful space she's created, the yummy drinks, the quality of service, and the price point. I have thin, fine hair the flips in different directions. She achieved the perfect bob pictured with an undercut and cutting while wet, then again once dry. I can't wait to go back for a more daring cut now that I found my stylist in Dubuque. 100/5 stars!

Like Emily, I have naturally curly hair so she completely understood what to do with my hair that sometimes has a mind of its own. She asked a lot of questions about what type of products I use, how often do I wash my hair, do I part down the middle or to a particular side so she takes the time to learn about your "routine" as far as your hair is concerned. If you're a curly girl like me, I would highly recommend seeing Emily the next time you need a hair cut.
