Incredibly disappointed. I appreciated the warm and welcoming atmosphere of this church and the…read morecongregation seemed like nice people genuinely seeking God. However, my husband and I were shocked at the blatant hypocrisy in the sermon, lack of biblically based theology, and blatant misogyny and discrimination utilized. I followed up with other visitors and members of the congregation who all shared how embarrassed and disappointed they have become with their own leadership and how far they've strayed from righteousness and the gospel. Some of who admitted they were leaving the church and only stayed because of their communities developed before. I will pray for this church's leadership, that they turn away from greed, evil, and ego and instead grow in spiritual maturity and return to a focus on God's word rather than their own agendas and false idols.

There's murals and stained glass windows everywhere inside with depictions of the saints. You can also hear the bell ringing, calling out! I am not a part of the communion but I really enjoyed the experience and everyone was very welcoming. I would only say that it was hard to understand the priest at times due to the microphone being to close to his mouth that it just sounded like mumbles. I really wish I could've heard better to understand. I, thank the church for their dedication and devotion to this sacred ceremony and I am very grateful to witness this tradition.

The church itself provided a beautiful setting for a wedding and the officiant who conducted the…read moreceremony was warm, professional, and did good job. Unfortunately, our experience with the wedding coordinator, Monica, created unnecessary stress during what should have been a joyful occasion. At the rehearsal, our group was left waiting outside the church with the doors locked and no communication regarding when we could enter. Monica unlocked the door and left us standing outside. Throughout the rehearsal, questions were frequently interrupted before they could be asked, and interactions often felt abrupt and dismissive rather than welcoming or helpful. We were often told to wait because information would be provided later, but the manner in which this was communicated came across as impatient and unnecessarily curt. The wedding day was no better. Guests and family members were repeatedly rushed into their seats and instructed not to stop to greet, hug, or interact with loved ones as they entered the church. At one point, Monica shushed guests in a manner that felt more appropriate for disciplining children than speaking to adults. Going as far as using the church microphone to carry out her orders. Monica's overall tone and interactions felt cold, unfriendly, and lacking in basic courtesy. Monica contacted the bride by phone and threatened to shorten the ceremony if the she did not arrive immediately. While I understand the importance of maintaining a schedule, this approach felt unnecessarily harsh and added stress to an already emotional moment. What made the experience especially disappointing was that this is a church. Weddings are meaningful family events, and the atmosphere should reflect hospitality, kindness, and grace. Instead, many interactions left family members feeling like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. The cathedral itself is beautiful, and the ceremony was meaningful. However, the wedding coordination experience significantly detracted from what should have been a joyful and memorable day. If this is the type of experience you want than this is the church for you.

I was still unsatisfied and felt the pull to revisit my Catholicism, I decided to give The Shrine of St Therese a try, I'm so thankful I did. St Therese is an old quaint church that has that family feel to it missing in so many churches (all denominations) today. The parishioners are welcoming and friendly. Father Michael is a charismatic, amicable priest and his homilys are some of the best I've ever heard. While he may pepper his homily with laughter occasionally they are always in relation to that days Gospel. What I like is he doesn't make you feel like he is preaching to you but rather conversing with a friend, and he actually keeps your attention.
