The 4h fair is a nice event for families, couples, and a variety of different people to get out of the house eat gooey yummy carnival treats and have fun. The food selection is nice.... from the deep fried alligator, and the deep fried Oreos. Of course just like other festivals the food and drinks are expensive!!!!!! But that's to be expected at any festival. The selection of rides and shows are very family friendly and nice as well, with kiddie/simple rides (for those that don't like heights or have weak stomaches) and more intense adult rides for semi thrill seekers. Also they have jewelry vendors/booths to buy merchandise and mementos. The 4h fair isn't like going to a fair in Chicago or New York City but it's a little bit above a standard fair. I have no complaints. Overall I've always liked the 4h fair and I hope they stay around for a long time. The 4h fair equals Good times, and good fun!

So, we decided on a road trip to South Bend, Indiana, to see the Chicago Cubs' Minor League Basebll (MiLB) High-A affiliate team, the South Bend Cubs. Also, previous reviews mention their former name, the South Bend Silver Hawks (1994-2014). We were surprised we could sit behind the dugout for $13.00 per seat. Most other Low-A to High-A teams are closer to the $20.00 range. Next, to be a stadium that opened in 1987, it was one of the cleanest ballparks. Not spotless, but clean for a ballpark that can seat up to five thousand per game. We were also surprised that they still packed the stadium even though it wasn't a special giveaway event (e.g., free hat, shirt, etc.). Plus, the crowd was really focused on the game, so it was a solid experience for anyone who loves baseball. If you're reading this review and contemplating driving to South Bend for a MiLB game, be like Nike and just do it.

A large kid-friendly area is available in left field for the littlest fans to burn off some energy or if you are prepared to let your kids get wet; an interactive fountain in the right field corner is ready to cool them off. Yes, the large beers are $6, but the philly steak was reasonably priced (and delicious) while I found ribs for $5 behind home plate under the stands. General admission is $5 ... you really can't beat the atmosphere or entertainment value, so gather the kids or invite some friends and Take Them Out to the Ballgame.

The show is very well juried with a great mix of amazing artists. Shireen does not just 'put on the show', she actually takes an interest in the artists and sincerely wants them to do well. She is present at the show from set up to take down. She jumps right in to help where help is needed and yet you will still find her smiling and laughing with patrons and artists all weekend. I personally, am looking forward to returning next year. I would highly recommend checking out the show next year.

The game activities are fun and they constantly keep the crowd going with games and music and all kinds of Activities. The field is beautiful and the game was awesome. All kinds of things like Philadelphia cheesesteak sandwiches, barbecue sandwiches, popcorn, hotdog, burgers, pretzels. All kinds of baseball food.
