I wanted to like and continue to support this business, but they sold me a bad soursop on 5/31/2025. I didn't push for getting a ripe one since I figured that it would ripen within the next week or so. On 6/8/2025, the soursop was still hard after sitting on my kitchen countertop (in a 70 degree home), so I drove all the way to the Raleigh location (as they chose not to come to Fayetteville on that day). When I got to Raleigh, she told me to wrap the soursop in a towel and place it on top of the refrigerator. I followed those instructions, and noticed on 6/10 that the top of the soursop was mushy and still hard elsewhere. Since the soursop was mushy and started to break at the top (but the rest of the fruit was still hard), I placed the soursop into the refrigerator (The Watermelon Lady never told me not to put the soursop into the refrigerator, even if it was open) on 6/12 as I had to go out of town. When I returned home on 6/14 the soursop which I paid at least $32 for was growing mold. I immediately sent The Watermelon Lady a message in Messenger, but I got no response. On 6/15 when I went to the Fayetteville location to follow up on the message, I was told that they would not be doing anything to make this right as I should have done research before buying the fruit. I'm very disappointed that I was treated this way after spending over $100 on fruit and drove to Raleigh. She could have offered to do something for me instead of turning me away with nothing, considering the a lint that I spent and the fact the drive to Raleigh the week before. read more
