In search of an item that has been out of stock, I decided to call ahead to check on my item before taking a ride to the store. On the phone was a friendly knowledgeable associate with whom assisted in my search. I then drove to the Vitamin Shoppe NANUET location where I was greeted by a female associate who was friendly and professional helping many customers at the store. Greeting me with "are there any other items I can help with?" I appreciate the little efforts and gestures more than one can know. We are all having to deal with so much. I thank you VS! Fantastic Vitamin Shoppe! They carry so many items -not just vitamins and proteins...many health and wellness items too. I actually buy my face cleansers and lotions here because they have a wide range of organic/no animal testing products. Also the staff has been there for years and it's always great to see a familiar face. They are knowledgeable about the products they carry and have great customer service! I never had a problem purchasing items at this Vitamin Shoppe. I am a repeat customer actually. Well, not anymore after this experience that I am going to tell. I returned a No Explode Preworkout that i bought a day previously. The pre workout made me nausous so it is my right to return it and I also had a receipt. Since its open, I understood it comes out to store credit. My boyfriend went and returned it and got me intrapower by monster pump. He showed me after what he got me and its not what I wanted so I walked into the store myself to return it. As soon as I open the door, this female employee at the counter just blurts out, "Whats wrong? You don't like it?" I never said a word to this lady ever or seen her in the past few days. Why is talking to me like that? It didn't sound like a sincere question either. Her attitude sounded like she was annoyed. If I want to return an item, I am allowed to. I do not like to be greeted that way when I walk into a store either. I misunderstood what she said because of her heavy accent and her rushing of words so she brought out the manager. I wanted store credit for the No Explode but refund for the intrapower since I didn't open it. The manager explained their policy. Since I opened the explode I should only get store credit and I replaced that with intrapower so I should only get store credit for the intrapower. The manager was well mannered unlike the female employee. While he was explaining something to me..I saw that he accidentally bumped into her and she yells out, " SAY EXCUSE ME!!" She also mumbled under her breath something about me in front of me. Which I didn't like. The employees at this Vitamin Shoppe act unprofessional. This is a bad experience overall. I would not come back to this Vitamin Shoppe ever again. This Vitamin Shoppe does not deserve my business. read more

I love the Vitamin Shoppe in Nanuet, not only for the availability of all that I need at reasonable prices, but for the fine customer care that never disappoints. I'm always greeted with a smile and an offer to help. The people who work there are knowledgeable and seem eager to share their expertise and/or to reach out to a co-worker for information they need to thoroughly address my questions. Each one has clearly been trained by a manager they respect and enjoy working with (I've asked, and to a person, employees enthusiastically tell me, YES, he is!). Fist time in this store, I was picking up a specific product for my s/o. I went in and the two employees behind the counter didn't greet me at all, just continued gossiping. I stood there until one of them finally looked at me. I asked where I could find the product, but I pronounced it wrong and they looked at me like I was stupid. Then he said with an attitude "did you mean ----?" So, he shows me where it is, I check out and leave. All with no customer service or greetings of any sort.
