Her vibe and energy were wonderful. She was helpful and took her time giving me different options for this special gift. Her turn around time was faster than expected and I really appreciated it. I have 2 more things I need framed and will be coming back to Elizabeth at Silent Pictures. I really don't think anyone else could of done a better job.

She had gotten them in the past for $1.50 to 2 dollars each. I'm guessing the tariffs have hit Michael's because they were up to nearly 4 dollars each. I can't blame Michael's. My discussed is aimed elsewhere. I would like retailers both online and brick and mortar to make a note of how much we are paying for tariffs. I think this would help prevent backlash against local shops. But I digress She found what she was looking for, and we started the self checkout process. I've had luck in the past taking pictures frames to my local Michael's in Westchester, but now that I'm up here, I wanted to support a small business. Valentina Custom Frame & G. on Main St in New Paltz has its own parking lot- which makes it super easy if you can't find any parking on the strip. Between modern, rustic, wood, ornate and other frame styles, this small shop, showcases at least 100, 200+ (if not more) samples to choose from. Valentina aims to please because the moment I came here with a desperate look on my face and showed her the frame, she eased my worries and explained what how she'll fix it. At $25 to fix my frame- not only did I get a banging deal and she brought my frame back to life- but she's professional and passionate about all things frames.

We hired Arnold to replace our interior doors, door and window trim and baseboard. We asked him if…read morehe would be able to be complete for the painters who were scheduled to begin 3 weeks later and he agreed. We are now 8 weeks past that deadline and still not complete. He is also no longer answering calls or text messages. He damaged some of the freshly painted walls adjacent to the trim he installed and the paint was not applied appropriately to cover his patch. The trim in 3 door openings is not level or plumb and the doors are sticking- brand new doors are sticking!!! One door cannot be installed as the door frame he installed is 1-1/2" out of level. We asked for 1x4 finger jointed pre-primed pine trim for all door and window trim and 1x6 finger jointed pre-primed pine trim for he baseboard. To save money he used common pine boards with major knots and holes in them. We needed him to finish the install so that we wouldn't lose our spot in the painters schedule, so we agreed that he could install it if he caulked all the holes and painted it so the knots didn't show through. He didn't do that. He used different trim that doesn't match what we asked for on the first floor of our home because he said it would allow him to go faster and it was similar width to what we wanted. We agreed, again, to get him to finish before the painters. He didn't finish before the painters and now our walls were damaged when he was installing, caulking and painting the trim. DO NOT USE THIS GUY.
