After seeing reviews I was hesitant but decided to give this place a try after seeing most were years old. I did not run into any of previously mentioned issues. I was seen right away all 3 times, doctors cared about my concerns and supported extra testing to ease my concerns. We have been to this location twice in the last year for kid injuries (3 year old) both requiring stitches. Our first visit, we were in and out in under an hour and a half. The second visit took much longer, and the wound was not as urgent as the first and took about two and a half hours. Overall, this is not a quick in and out place. You will absolutely get in and out quicker than going to an actual emergency room. In both of our experiences the physician was professional and explained what was going to happen. We had to wait for anesthetic to take effect before stitches could occur (timeline laid out). They came in and put the stitches in and got us out after that in roughly 10-20 minutes. read more

PA KIRSTIN SATTAR has THE WORST bedside manner in the world! Nasty! Cunning. Rude. Condescending and will never go there again in fear of having her again in spite of having only good experiences in the past with other people but she was the icing on the cake. She should be reviewed! If she walks in your room run! She doesn't listen to you as a patient. We visited urgent care for treatment of an open wound on my knee. After waiting for over an hour, the doctor spent barely four minutes examining the injury before ordering an unnecessary and extremely painful X-ray. When the results showed no fractures or issues, the doctor briefly popped his head into the room and tossed the discharge papers onto a chair without saying much. We had to specifically ask for pain medication and were not offered any antibiotics or preventive treatment. We also had to request someone to re-bandage the wound before we left. Unfortunately, the person who did so did a poor job--the bandage fell off before we even exited the building. This experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and far from what quality healthcare should look like. I do not recommend this urgent care. If you need proper medical attention, consider going to the ER or another clinic. read more

NO NOT GO HERE. They loose your medical invoice payments and then transfers your account to a collections group. I have proof of payment with cancelled checks and it took me 90 minutes and calling multiple parties to submit a request to correct the situation. They take no responsibility for poor back office practices and then send you to a collections group that may negatively effect your credit rating. I manage mortgage servicing and we would never treat a customer like this. I plan on sending a letter to Attorney General Keith Ellison to get them to act with a sense of urgency (since it i in their name). Any convenience on the medical side has been far surpassed with this screwed up back office Accounts receivable process and I should know as a CPA and CFO at a national mortgage company. They are forcing me to put at least one star, again not right either. read more

The P.A. and doctor were very caring and spent hours trying to determine the reason for my eye problem since I could not get an appointment with a retinal specialist over the weekend. They explained that they were not ophthalmologists and only had an ultrasound to examine my eye. The doctor thought it might be a retinal detachment, although it turned out to be a hemorrhage which requires extensive testing to determine. Both the doctor and P.A. did their best to treat me and were very compassionate and concerned. read more

I've been to The Urgency Room twice in the last 6 months for an ongoing stomach problem. I have received very professional and competent care in my opinion. I felt the front desk staff were friendly, The nurses were great, and the PA addressed my concerns for the visits. The facility was very clean and comfortable considering you may have to wait. My family and I came here for a possible infection in a rather embarrassing spot on my fiance. He was so nervous about having a female doctor, but as soon as the doctor was examining him, he felt a lot more comfortable. He explained to her how embarrassed he was, and she smiled and explained her most embarrassing time at the doctor to help him feel better. Even though we live in Roseville, if we have to go to an urgent care, we come to Vadnais Heights. The level of care and compassion is so much better than clinics and urgent cares downtown. It was easy to make an appointment online, they were on time, and we did not have to wait to terribly long after checking in. The clinic is very clean, and the front desk and staff are very kind. We have been coming here for the last 5 years and have not had a bad experience. read more

I am so hurt and disappointed in the front desk staff, specifically "Becky" is what she told me her name was. I made an online appointment and then received a pop-up that stated, "Your symptoms are treatable here, but online check-in is not an option. Please proceed to the front desk to check in and have your symptoms assessed immediately. " I get to the front desk, and Becky tells me she doesn't see my appointment and asks what symptoms I was having. I told her upper body muscle aches, hot flashes, persistent and productive cough. She asks if I received a confirmation text. I replied no and then proceeded to tell her about the pop-up I received. Becky cut me off and yelled "BUT DID YOU RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION TEXT?" I was taken aback at her tone and again repeated "no". Becky was so rude and said "well, we don't have room and it's by appointment only." I showed her the msg from the website telling me to come in right away and she told me "Im not sure what symptoms you're having (after I already explained them to her) but sometimes the systom stops the process all depending on the symptoms. Basically, she sent me away saying there's no appointment until 6:50 pm , do you want me to schedule you. Mind you or was 1:50pm and I got dropped off. The website also states that walk ins are allowed, but even tho i made an appointment, i was turned away. read more

I went here twice and had an excellent experience. I went last week and was highly disappointed by one of the nurses. She walked in and immediately made me feel stupid for coming in with what she said. Not caring or compassionate at all. She then went on to tell a big story about her experience that she had with the same illness. She was annoying and not helpful and I just wanted quiet and she kept blabbing about when she was sick. She also added that she didn't even get to take a day off when she had it because they were so understaffed. After laying there for an hour I realized that my fluid IV was not even going into me based on how she had it set up. She had never checked on me or the IV the entire time. This meant I had to wait longer to even get any fluids and sit in the room while my ride was waiting. This one nurse made it a bad experience. The rest of the staff were all great. read more

The one star is relative to one specific provider Dr. S. Hagen. I have unfortunately seen him on two separate occasions in the last year for differing medical issues. On both visits I found him to be unapproachable and indifferent to the ailment I needed to be seen for. I presented with a consistent and persistent cough. I couldn't sleep as the cough was relentless.I asked for the cough syrup w/codiene and he said verbatim "No I don't do that." No bedside manner and no empathy. I explained that if I didn't have the cough syrup I would be back in two weeks with pneumonia. He stuck to his " I don't do that story and sent me home. NOTE PLEASE: I did return 2 weeks later and met with a very pleasant NP who determined I had pneumonia and bronchitis as I told him would happen. I went in yesterday for a migraine and confusion/syncope/nausea/double vision/palpitations. At check in the lady laughed when I listed my symptoms. She cut me off and said "that's plenty. You have all the migraine symptoms". I didn't think it was funny especially since I could barely open my eyes or stand up straight. It was annoying to have to fill out all of the online information again, every time I go there. They don't have my basic registration info on file? It wasn't busy, there was one other person in the waiting room so my wait time was minimal. The staff member put me in a room, offered a warm blanket, turned down the lights, she was very considerate. I was triaged by another staff member with their mobile computer station. That was fine. Then the vitals nurse came in. She was also nice but the arm band for the blood pressure was SO tight, I actually started to get concerned. My arm hurt so bad and my fingers started to get tingles. I told her it was too tight and she said it was almost done. Then the doctor came in. She was very nice. However, she was so hyper and fast that I swore she was working in a busy ER. She rushed in, asked me questions at warp speed. With my migraine it took me awhile to comprehend her questions and her excitability made me very anxious. She rattled a bunch of stuff I couldn't even retain, and she left. Another nurse came in holding a gown and told me to undress from the waist up. Even my bra? Yes, everything. And I did, in front of two nurses, no privacy. It was very uncomfortable. I laid on the bed/table and they hooked me up to a heart monitor on my finger and left. Another nurse came in to do an EKG. She put the stickers on and hooked me up. It was a minute long if that. I said that was the fastest EKG I've ever had, and I have a heart murmur so I get them quite often since birth. Another nurse came in and said she was going to draw blood for bloodwork. I kept asking for a blood sugar test as I felt I had symptoms of hypoglycemia. Yes, it will be included in this bloodwork, she said. I kept feeling like I needed apple juice or something, I felt very weak. Here's the traumatic part. This nurse, who I think my paperwork said is Jen or Jennifer, is an RN. She felt around my arm for a vein for awhile. I told her my veins are hard to find but not impossible. But sometimes I get bruised pretty bad (I've been told this happens when less experienced nurses take blood). She poked me and I screamed. I jumped. She dug around and around looking for my vein. I got concerned and through my yelps I said "did you find a vein yet?" And she said no. Actually she said "If you wouldn't tense up, it wouldn't be so difficult. You need to relax" and I said "you hurt me, I reacted. I've never had it hurt this much". Then she frustratingly went to my other arm. I'm getting really nervous now. She's poking and rubbing and pushing my arm up and down to my wrist and back of my hand. She's frustrated. Then she tried again just above my wrist. She said "this will poke and pinch, relax and breath through it" and she dug around again. Poking and digging. I could barely stand it. Then I felt wetness on my other arm. She didn't put a bandaid on my previous poke and I was bleeding. She tended to that arm and then handed me a yellow liquid and told me to drink it. "What is it?" I asked. "It's Decadron, it's for your migraine. It's a steroid. Didn't the doctor tell you we were giving you medicine?" She was frustrated. "No, and I won't take it unless I know what the side effects are. I have medication anxiety and if it makes your heart race, I can't take it". She left. I sat there waiting and wondering what was happening. My head hurt so bad and I was so anxious. I felt like I was in a circus. The doctor came back in and joked "I hear you're a hard poke!" "Yes but that nurse was rough. I don't want her again". "No problem, we can try with another nurse. We need your bloodwork. We also want to hook you to an iv for fluids and medication". I declined. I just wanted to go home but I wanted to know if I was having a blood sugar reaction. She sent in another nurse. She was nice but smelled like a fresh smoked cigarette, not fun with a migraine. She also couldn't find a vein. I told her i just wanted my blood sugar checked and I wanted to go home. She checked my blood sugar with a finger poke and left. I looked down at my OTHER arm and noticed I had bled through my bandage and was dripping blood. I put pressure on my arm and went out into the main area and asked for a new bandage. A random nurse came and helped me with a new bandage. I changed, removed all the stickers from the EKG and waited for my paperwork and went home. I can't even tell you how unprofessional this entire experience felt. I have two bruised arms and a protrusion from one of the veins she tried to wrestle. read more

No help, "take two aspirins and call a REAL DOCTOR in the morning" kind of place. I went yesterday (Dec18th 2021) and couldn't believe I actually got a REAL DOCTOR!!! Her name was Rachel Van Heest. I've been going to the Vadnais Heights Urgency Room for years and have always had a great experience. I didn't mind waiting to avoid the ER. I would do anything to avoid the ER. I brought my kids here and sent my husband here. Always received good service. Last year I noticed the closing time was 10pm which was unfortunate, but understandable, so tonight at 8:00 when I showed up with my daughter I saw it was now 9pm, but it didn't matter because the extremely rude receptionist told us they only take appointments now and we could maybe get one tomorrow. What? She said people were waiting 3-6 hours which I find hard to believe, but regardless, how does this make any sense? How is making an appointment in any way meeting my emergent medical needs? The business was so popular and successful that, rather than add more locations or more staff or bigger facilities to help the growing number of people that want an alternative to the ER, they turn people away and make it harder or impossible to be seen for an emergency. This is in no way an URGENT anything. I'm extremely disappointing and so sad that my go to option for medical care is gone. I would in no way recommend this place. Just make an appointment at your clinic or find an urgent care clinic. read more

Second negative experience at this facility. Not a friendly reception staff when entering the facility. Roomed and gowned. Very rude and cold nurse entered the exam room and did not take vitals other than an attempt at blood pressure recording. He was unable to get a blood pressure and finally took a reading which was much higher than one would expect to see on the BP screen. He did not retake it and did not seem concerned that it was high. He left the reading flash on the reader and left the room. This is my second negative experience at a UR. The other time I was insulted and treated with such disrespect for coming to the facility for a "chronic" problem. I was informed this was for acute care. Well, how many people know what that means. I fortunately do but I have to question how many people actually are not treated with dignity and respect and do not get the help they come to find at the UR and then are faced with a huge bill and no relief of the symptoms for which they decided to visit UR. This is appalling and an insult to patients who put trust in medical facilities such as this to provide quality and compassionate care. I frankly have had better quality care at the clinic urgent care locations. People need to start asking questions. We deserve better care than we receive from the UR. It seems as though some of the medical professionals who are working these locations are not highly qualified in many aspects of caring for patients. read more

Worst place ever. Do not go. Even if you're in terrible pain as I was. I wished I would have toughed it out for 20 more minutes to get to an actual medical facility where I could have received actual medical care. They let me sit in a wheelchair alone with a broken foot and an arm broken in two places and expected me to undress myself. Once they heard I got hurt at work the first thing they wanted to do was an expensive and needless CT scan all the while ignoring my obvious injuries. They only offered to splint my arm when I said I was going to leave but not without threatening to call the sheriff if I left without having someone pick me up (they had given me a little pain medication because I told them I was in too much pain to undress myself.) Called my husband crying and begging him to get me out of there. He took me to urgent care at 212 Medical Center in Chaska and it was like night and day. They were warm, caring, speedy and once they saw the deformity of my obviously broken wrist bumped me up to emergency care and had an x-ray tech actually come to my bed to do images. Unbelievable, I would never recommend The Urgency Room to anyone. read more

A health care worker would rather make a man sit in the waiting room with out a mask on while she calls the police then just allow him to be seen. I have been seen quickly and treated appropriately by very friendly professional and skilled staff! I recommend them to everyone who asks where they should go for urgent care needs! A friend of mine went to the Urgency room and was given the worst medical care that someone could have ever received. Keep in mind, she called and asked if she should be seen prior to arriving in the first place. The so called doctor was rude and wasn't willing to listen to her medical needs. She was asked several questions that did not pertain the reason in which she was seeking medical care. She was told to do her own vaginal swab after telling the fake doctor that she had no medical issues or concerns with her female anatomy. As she was leaving the bathroom, she overhead the clown of a doctor speaking to the wanna be radiologist to see if anything came back on the ultrasound in which the one responded with no nothing came back and the incompetent crock of a doctor responded with "didn't think so" regardless of the fact if they knew she could hear them speaking about her, this "doctor" should not be blowing off the medical needs of their patient. Not to mention after my friend was done giving herself the vaginal swab (because it was an inconvenience to the "doctor" to do it themselves) another fake radiologist came out and told her she was going to CT. Which again the fake doctor you had staffed this night, did not mention anything to the patient about the CT scan being done. With her being the only patient in the office at the time (this is a fact) you would think they would do their jobs properly and not make her wait 3 hours to be looked at and have the results looked at. The doctors and nurses that are employed at this office make their patients feel as it is inconvenient for them to seek medical attention. I would rather let my leg fall off and go blind then ever step foot at this crappy, pathetic excuse of an Urgent care facility. They should close this office or have better staff that actually care about the medical needs of people. read more

I don't know why I'm seeing poor reviews? Each time I've gone to the Vadnais Heights location we have had excellent and professional fast service by all staff members. My husband had abdominal pain, they did a CT scan and labs and was sent to our hospital of choice for emergency surgery. It saved us from having the ER copay and he was directly admitted into United hospital. read more

Staff not helpful. Did not explain procedures or explain results. I asked for a family member be escorted to see me. They never followed through on this. I called the nurse line to ask a simple follow-up question... "will taking a pain reliever negatively affect the stitched area?" and was told "I am not a doctor. I can't answer your question." My one year old had sudden swelling from a bug bite on his face it was spreading fast. I arrived at the urgency room early evening. I checked in and was Brought to a room with just two chairs. Essentially just a waiting room not a real room. It was fun for my son to push the stroller around the room tho. The doctor came in and asked some basic questions. She was friendly enough. She ordered some Benadryl. The nurse comes in to give it. My son pukes most medicine so I laid him On the tile floor. The nurse puts her hand behind his head. He starts to squirm and she dropped his head on to the tile (3-4 inches). I quickly pick him up and race into a different room with a bed. She comes running after me screaming at me. She set me into fight or flight mode. I grab him and run back into the first room. I closed the door quickly escape her. I accidentally slammed the door. They called the police and had me arrested for destruction of property. They didn't help my son at all. The staff made it seem like I brought him for nothing but his eye was swollen shut from a mosquito bite. He's a baby. I was scared for him. I was treated like a criminal when they could have just used their accident insurance. If you feel like getting criminal charges- feel free to go here. They will verbally assault you then play the victim. I will never recommend this God awful place. Go anywhere else. read more

After my visit to the Urgency Room in Vadnais Hts in 2017 I was and am convinced that I would never return for any reason. I was doubled over and in horrible pain. All I got was the run around and no answers - only a referral to a different clinic in Maple Grove later in the afternoon. Why Maple Grove?! At the clinic I was quickly referred to Fairview Riverside Hospital. The next thing I remember was waking up in the ICU with the medical team telling me I almost died. I was in ICU for 3 days and the hospital 2 days for a total of 5 days! Reflecting back, I went to the Urgency Room in pain not realizing how sick I was. I regret not going immediately to St John's Hospital. Won't make that mistake again read more

If I could give this place a negative*I would. The initial visit was amazing friendly helpful. Their response time on messages left between business hours is awful. After having a rapid Covid test done that was negative one week later I started to show symptoms. I read my discharge papers and figured I should call to verify if I should go back in and be retested. I left a message for two days and never heard a word back. I called my regular physician and told them what happened and they said to get in and be tested immediately. Sure would have been nice to know that three days prior because I would have my results today. After going to my doctors office and getting a test on my way home the urgency room called and said that yes I should come in and be tested they weren't sure if my messages were answered. Their voicemail says messages left between 10 and before 430 will be answered the same day both my calls were left during those times. I would say if you need to follow up your best to do it with your own doctor during these crazy times unfortunately mine happened over the Labor Day weekend. read more

I've been here twice in the last 3 months. One of the benefits is that you can go online and find out the waiting time of each Urgency Room location. The problem, however, is that their times are NEVER accurate! For my first visit, I chose this location because the wait time was posted at 10 minutes. When we checked in, they said it would be a good 40 min. wait. I said that their website had said 10 min., and she said, "Well, we've been too busy to update it." That said, once we got in, the attention we received was good, and I decided it was better than an ER, and more efficient than Urgent Care. I would have given it 4 stars. The second time was just 2 weeks ago. The website said 40 minutes, and when we arrived, they said 45 minutes. No problem. I watched my son's name go on the board, and the clock started to tick. It was 45 minutes before we got to a room. They told him not to eat or drink until they took his vitals, but it was another HOUR in the room before ANYONE came to see him. (I took notes on my laptop). I kept peeking at the digital board with his name, and I was watching the clock tick, but NOTHING! Finally a doctor came in, spent 5 minutes diagnosing him and then left. I followed him out and said, "isn't anyone going to take his vitals?" And he said, "she'll be right in". 10 minutes later, a nurse came in, took the obligatory vitals and we left. Hmmm... at 5 minutes per patient, and the fact that we were on the board with only 8 other names, I don't know what took 2 hours for a 45 minute wait! 2 stars. Hence my 3 star average, because, as THEY reminded me, it's STILL better than an emergency room. (Not sure if it was better than Urgent Care, this time...) i was seen at this site fo a broken bone and was seen only by a physicians assistant who was not all that knowledgeable or helpful. I was super disappointed. Also, I had a couple of x-rays at another Urgency Room site and the radiologists sent me a bill demanding payment because Urgency Room had not passed on my insurance information. Now I have to deal with that hassle. I highly doubt I will use Urgency Room again. The least they could do is disclose that one will be receiving bills from a lot of other providers because they do not actually provide all of services needed in a facility such as this but rather use vendors. This creates a lot of unnecessary paperwork as well as potential problems since not all providers are covered by all insurance companies. All in all, I plan to avoid Urgency Room in the future. I certainly don't want to deal with a zillion bills coming in as a result of one visit.. read more

I LOVE this place! They do a thorough job in making sure that they know what is wrong with you! They also were so good to my 5 year old and have her a balloon when we left. Urgent Care at Emergency Room prices. I had bronchitis and was concerned that it was turning into pneumonia. I thought I'll check out that new Urgency Room near me as it is close and convenient. I was checked in quickly, no one was waiting in the waiting room, and got into their system right away. Received a quick exam by a nurse, received an albuterol nebulizer and got a couple of chest X-rays. Then the physician came in. He informed me that I did not have pneumonia, but was like a game show host, loudly "educating" me on the 3 steps of how to get better. I felt he was quite condescending and not respectful of my privacy and not broadcasting to the other rooms, He did not show me my x-rays or discuss anything on them or explain the radiologist findings that should have been brought up (I had to call back later asking for clarification). The workers all seemed pretty cheery, and that is great they get along so well. It would have been nice to observe a bit more compassion for their patients. Good news, I did not have pneumonia and I went home. I admit, I did get in right away and it is a brand-new, pristine facility, great first impression. I was stunned at the $777 bill that I received. I called asking about my bill and was told that the higher prices are because they have an emergency room physician on staff. I was also told that the only way to contest the cost was to send an email and that a phone call was not possible. Interesting strategy. I did receive fair care, but I did not expect emergency room prices. It's great that the Radiology department is so tech savvy to get out their bill via text so quickly, almost before I even got home. Ultimately, my concern was addressed, but it was ridiculously overpriced for what I thought would be an urgent care visit cost. Perhaps it is better for those seeking emergency room help. Too expensive to be used as an urgent care facility. Insurance covered very little of the cost. Buyer beware. read more
