All of the reviews here are exactly spot on. My wife attempted to use this store twice this week to send a simple package and was given much less than the expected customer service. First she was told the store could not scan the bar code from her phone. Instead of printing a prepaid label, she was going to be charged a per minute fee for using what is considered free WiFi in most establishments. When she returned to the store with the printed label but did not have a piece of tape to seal the box, she was told she would need to buy an entire roll of tape. I've never heard of a more poor customer service experience from a shipping store that we had at this store. Despite the management stating appreciation for the input and reviews, it's apparent that they do not plan to make any adjustments to provide a better experience for the customer. Like other reviewers, we will have to find a better solution for future shipping needs. read more

I don't think I've ever accomplished anything by going to this store. There is always an issue. They were shut down for two weeks due to a COVID exposure (which I understand), but you would think they could spend that time closed to get their business in order. I have made three trips now to try to send a package. The second two trips their "system was down." It would also be nice to at least put some signs up so I don't have to stand in line just to find out you can't be of service. Corporate really needs to enforce some standards in this store. read more

I rarely need to go to a ups store. I went in today as soon as they opened. I waited 30 minutes in the parking lot because I got off work at 6:30 am. The lady working was rudely short in our conversation. I wanted to repackage my item, she was like "this is the way it's packaged that's the way it has to be". I have never had positive dealings with this store and today was just verification of the rude, inappropriate, customer non-service that has made this store famous. "Bobby" was rude and defensive. She refused to answer my questions about when their system would be back online, was disdainful when I asked about cost comparison between post office and UPS "I am not the post office, I am UPS"! Finally, she refused me service when I asked for her name. The owner of the store was very rude to me in the past, I can understand why his personnel share the same personality traits. I posted my review and then read through some of the responses from the "management". I am horrified (although not at all surprised) by the responses. In every case the customer was wrong, stupid, expected too much, etc. Wow!!! If these responses from management do not exemplify the poor customer service the store provides, I do not know what does. I did not need to waste my time leaving a negative review, they did it for me!!! Do the words "SORRY" or "I can help you" exist in this store's mission statement??? read more

I will not do business with this store due to a disappointing experience. I value courtesy, value, decency, and quality. I definitely believe the other reviews, as I had a very similar experience and was then accused of slander after quoting what was said to myself and my daughter with a backhanded apology/threat. Terrible customer service at this location. Had a package to return to amazon. They acted like they didn't want my business. Would not even put a piece of tape on the package and made me buy a three dollar roll before they took the package. The manager came out from the back and rather than defuse the situation made the situation worse by implying that they receive no money from Amazon for this and that they would not do anything to help me with this package. Incredibly poor management and customer service. Definitely do not recommend unless no alternative is available. read more

Wouldn't use for notary service. Not really sure what they're doing. Can't provide a witness if one is required. What's the use if they can't provide a witness. I've gotten dozens of documents notarized requiring a witness and they simply have another employee come over and witness the signatures. Not a difficult concept. read more

The date was 2/10/2021. I wanted to return my company phone to the company because my old one got damaged. The company provided a return shipping label thru UPS. I was refused a receipt to prove that I had shipped the phone back by the woman at the counter. This is the 2nd time I have seen poor, rude and odius behavior from this woman. Management needs to figure out how to motivate this individual or get rid of your franchise. I left and drove to UPS in Union MO, who gave me a receipt. read more

Unbelievably rude. I asked the younger female clerk if she could give me a piece of paper to put in my very small box (2 inches x 4 inches with another box inside that held medical viles) so the glass containers wouldn't break and she refused. I took two of the ups brochures to put in the box and she made me put them back. She told me I should have made sure there was packing in them at home...considering I came from a medical office this wasn't an option. I've never experienced bad customer service at an ups store before so this was surprising. I typically use a ups store in STL and given the rude service I received in Washington, MO I will continue to use a STL store. read more

Just absolutely terrible customer service. An associate by the name of Delish had said that they do not accept emails from an outside source regarding the printing services I was seeking. I know for a fact that they do because I have done it at the location many many times before. And she was rude about it while I was in the middle of talking to her she started helping the next customer. Never again will I use that location. read more

This incident occurred on 1/29/21 at around 5:30 CST. Stopped in to just see if I could pick up a package that was re-routed to the store as my wife and I just moved. The younger lady that was working the counter said it has to be the person on the label to pick it up. I thought ok, fine. I went out to my vehicle and wondered what the requirements were for picking up someone's package. I flipped on google and searched "UPS pick up other person", the top result was from www.ups.com that stated.... "If you need someone else to collect your package on your behalf, they'll need to bring a valid government-issued photo ID or another valid photo ID containing the full name along with a utility bill, tax bill, or bank statement with full name and proof of connection to the address on the UPS label or to the named person." I had both the address of the original destination on my government issued ID and shared the same last name as the recipient, my wife. I walked in to inquire again and wanted to show what I found on UPS's direct website as I was explaining. The UPS representative cut me off and said "It has to be the person on the label". I said, "well can you just look at this"....."IT HAS TO BE THE PERSON ON THE LABEL" was her only reply cutting me off. It is no longer about the package and I can care less, it was now about this unbelievably rude person that was not even attempting to help one bit. I then asked "So is UPS wrong?" *holding up my phone*, to which she responded "yes". I then left. On my way home, I thought well maybe there was a miscommunication....I did just have the package re-rerouted...maybe that doesn't happen often. So I called the store just to make sure (exactly 5:36 PM CST). A lady named "Bobbi" answered (Sorry if misspelt the name. Assuming by the same voice this was the exact person I was talking to from before.) Explained again that this was a re-routed package....without a seconds delay I hear "IT HAS TO BE THE PERSON ON THE LABEL". Hung up and went home where I called UPS customer care where they confirmed that I was eligible to have picked the package up. As I have said previously it really isn't even about the package anymore it is about the rudeness this UPS representative had with a customer where a concern was not given 'the time of day'. I will never go to this store again and will tell as many as I can of the experience I have had and recommend the same. UPS should be absolutely embarrassed of this location's customer service as it represents them directly. read more

I just finished reading a couple of reviews before starting mine, since I noticed the Washington UPS Store had a much lower score than I would've anticipated, given my wonderful experience. My advice: read my review completely, have some common sense and take some of these other reviews with a grain of salt.. I have had nothing but a fantastic experience with this store. While I have only worked with them twice that I can remember (as well as some emails and phone calls today), I can safely say that my experience was wonderful and some people seem to feel too entitled to instant gratification. The customer is NOT always right, and if you've ever worked in any sort of retail or service position, you know this to be true (though it is a good general rule of thumb for keeping customers happy) I will explain my visit, involving 3 amazon returns, after i explain what happened today. Amazon emailed me early in the morning to explain that 2 items i returned did not arrive, and that i would be charged again for the items. I reached out to the UPS Store to see if there was any way they could help me, since I had misplaced my tracking/confirmation. They got back to me in pretty short order and explained that I would need SOME kind of information (like a tracking number) to be able to really help me. I had a busy day at work and couldn't get back to them in the same short time frame in which they got back to me. As I sat at my desk at the end of the day, I noticed I had a voicemail. It was the owner of the company, Brian, reaching out to me to see if there was any way he could help me. I called him back and he explained why I needed specific information and continued to explain that since Amazon issued me the QR codes (which are tracking numbers, and perhaps some other information. Also which UPS Store COULD SCAN WITH NO PROBLEM) then they should have all the information I needed to clear up the issue (even though, as it turns out, it was amazons system causing the issue in the first place). I got a hold of Amazon and cleared up the issue in 5 minutes, while I had spent most of my lunch break trying to figure this out through Amazons website. Brian (and his team) is NOT required to hold my hand and explain to me that Amazon should be able to help me with this issue. However, being concerned with customer satisfaction, he took the time to reach out to me and see if there was any way he could help, and once I explained, told me that he hates to see people spend money on things they don't need to, if there's something he could do to help.. So, I had 3 Amazon returns to take care of at this location. I had received 3 QR codes from amazon and had 2 robes (just in plastic packaging, no box) and a pile of pieces of a gaming chair (no box). I worked with a lovely woman named Annette. She decided, with my consent, that the robes did not need anything special for packaging (damage mitigation) and could then save me money by not purchasing packing material, since the items were just cloth anyway. Then... the challenge... I had 25 loose pieces to an oddly shaped chair that needed to be stacked on the scale for weight, and then she needed to figure out how to make one big box from two smaller boxes to accommodate the odd dimensions of the chair. During this entire process, Annette and her co-worker (I'm not sure what her name is) calmly and efficiently handled no less than 30 other customers, maintaining a smile and a good attitude, despite a couple of nasty people with bad attitudes. Knowing I had tossed a bit of a time consuming challenge into their lap during the very busy last two hours of business, I insisted they help the 3-5 people at a time, building up in a line. Annette wanted to help me get wrapped up, but we both knew the other people would be in and out in short order. In between these groups of customers, and after the rush had come through, Annette kept the process going, trying to help me, and diligently found the best and cheapest combination of two boxes to save me money. She could've picked any two large boxes and charged me whatever they cost, but she found me the most efficient, cost effective solution. During this time, I overheard at least 2 customers being upset about this 'tape issue'. While it makes sense to me, it apparently did not make sense to these two customers, and especially not for one in particular. Basically the situation is: if UPS Store tapes your box for you, then they are liable for ANYTHING that happens to your package. As a result of this liability, if you do not properly secure your package, they cannot accept it. They do, however, sell rolls of tape, so you can tape the box and ship it. This is not as big of a deal as people are making it out to be. One lady threw a fit over this tape issue and stomped out of the store to drive all the way home and apply tape. She could've just secured her package properly, or saved the time and gas by purchasing the tape available at the store. read more

Earlier today I tried to print a UPS label online but had technical difficulty with PayPal. The total for the shipment was to be $13.50. I went to the UPS Store and for the same shipment they charged me over $20. I asked if she was sure and she said yes. That is a 30% premium. Needless to say, watch your wallets people. read more

You know, this UPS store is in a plaza that I'm not quite sure how any of the businesses keep hanging on, because traffic is sparse. The young people who work here are very friendly and curteous. The owner or manager (I'm not sure of his role), must have a lot on his plate as a small business owner. I had a printing job here. It was an order I placed online and I would have sworn that I ordered both jobs, two-sided. Would I have liked it better if management decided to make me happy and give it to me the way I wanted it? Yes. Was I frustrated? Yes, but in a, "Well, nuts." kind of way. Frustration level 3 out of 10. Whatever, I have a lot going on and it probably was my mistake. Over the course of my interaction, I just think management could have had a little more sugar in their customer service approach, especially our concluding conversation. BUT, these are just folks trying to squeeze out a living in a changing world. I think we could cut the store a little slack and try to raise their rating. It's clean. The staff are super friendly. It's well supplied. One can place orders online and pick up in person, so less waiting. read more

She was helpful with our shipment and even got us a guaranteed that my grandmothers china would make it to my daughter for a wedding gift without damage. Since we could not replace the china, it made our decisions to ship it to her easier. Julie packed the china to make sure my daughter got the china on time and without damage. Great service! This is a great store. I was unsure of going because of the reviews, but I had a wonderful experience. So much so that I created this account and downloaded the app to share. I'm unsure how previous reviews report so negatively, but i was on the opposite end of the spectrum. I had a great experience at this store. A young girl helped me (I think her name was Lindsey), she was kind, thoughtful, and she really made it a painless process. She even added in a few funny jokes to make the process more fun. She was very knowledgeable and listened effectively to cater to my individual needs. My package has now arrived in perfect condition, and I couldn't ask for better service. So, I will vote with MY wallet and continue to support this business. Great job! read more

The first thing I noticed after walking in was being greeted by a far less than sincere and enthusiastic employee ( her deportment screamed that she hated her job). All I wanted to do was purchase an shotgun envelope to mail some documents and when I handed the envelope to the employee I told her I need to pay for the envelope but have the prepaid label handy, just needed to be attached to the envelope. She spoke with an disrespectful attitude just to inform that she would not tape the label to the envelope for me and I needed to purchase an entire roll of tape and do it myself. Now, if there is some liability reason for UPS not to attach labels to envelopes, then so be it it but the attitude was uncalled for. So if we are going to be reasonable, why does the UPS store not at a minimum have a roll of tape at the counter for the free use of its customers? I suggest spending your hard earned money in an establishment that is at least courteous to its customers. read more
