I went to this UPS store to return some Amazon packages and was stunned at the unprofessional and vulgar behavior of a woman with dark, straight hair and glasses. She called everyone "Mami" in a loud, strident voice and trying to strike conversation with customers in an intrusive, pushy way. I was in a rush and asked if the other agent could help me since she was using two cash registers at once to print. But immediately, she sparked in anger and asked me in a defiant tone of voice why was I in a hurry--to be patient and if I didn't want to wait to go to another UPS store in Shelton or Bridgeport. Her tone was hostile, irate, and "in your face." I couldn't believe her audacity and crassness. She simply didn't know when to stop her tirade and be quiet. No class! She started lecturing me with a loud, defiant tone, and saying that I must be a miserable person and to best go elsewhere because she wasn't going to take my packages, and that she didn't care who I called to complain. Her behavior was unbelievably entitled and disrespectful by treating people as if we were all of her same ilk and communication style. I took my bags and left. As I was leaving she yelled expletives at me saying she wasn't going to service a f***ing soul like me. Her vulgar, cheapness, loudness, unprofessionalism and lack of finesse, diplomacy and self-control were bar none. I'm never returning to that UPS store again. How could they have hired such a vulgar, caustic person who mistreats and disrespects customers in this way??? I went to the Shelton store immediately afterwards and the three gentlemen there were so courteous and professional--no drama, no insults, no vulgarity, no yelling, and nobody calling me "Mami." read more

Since the flood and remodel, I have had nothing but good experiences at the Seymour UPS Store. They are so prompt, efficient and much friendlier than they have ever been. Keep up the good work! read more

I got to this store at 3:30 pm and there was one older man behind the counter. The line was out the door, and it took him 15 minutes to take care of 1 customer. There was no sense or caring about the people waiting in line read more

So I send in a print order, PAY for it online and you don't actually start the print until I get there because "some people don't show up to get their order". Um I already paid for it now I have to wait for 40 minutes in the store? Will not be using this location again. read more

I read through all the reviews on this place and am particularly shocked at how negative the reviews are here. I will say, I have had stuff notarized here on multiple occasions, I ship Amazon returns through here, and I ship my own eBay sales through here. I have NEVER once had an issue. You get what you pay for. I wrap my own package, I tape my own package, I generate my own label on my little inkjet printer and drop it off. The "old guy" scans my package, asks if I want a receipt, I say yes, and have a great day. He's an old-timer who acts like your grandpa, he's fine, he's a bit coarse but I've talked to him and he really is a good guy. This place is fine. I think some people expect everything for free. Keep in mind, if you don't like paying for tape, you can always go to your warm and friendly local US Post Office =) read more

Since the old staff was replaced I don't mind going to this store anymore. However, there was a young Caucasian girl there a few weeks ago who was working behind the counter bra-less. I was very uncomfortable w/that as I'm sure all heterosexual females were lol. I hope SOMEONE has spoken to her about that by now. She wasn't there the last time I was there which was the other day. OMGOSH I thought I was the only one who thought the old man and his son (big tall guy who I THINK left to pursue his DJ career) were the most rude people EVER! Where's the lady? I think she was the wife. Now SHE was super friendly AND helpful. I always dread going there, too. I've been lucky the past couple of times and got the "new" guy. Literally would give a negative star score if possible. The staff always seems to be in some kind of mood, like you've ruined their day by coming to their job and trying to use their services. no one's asking you to smile and be so pleasant it hurts, but a simple 'Hey, what can I do for you?' or 'Hi, what's going on today?', really couldn't kill you. The hours are almost always inaccurate on the door and on the web. About the last 7 or 8 times I've tried to go to the store, they've been open maybe 2 times (and with more than two employees there but only one working - so staffing doesn't seem to be the problem). The other handful of times online it has said that it's open and I've gotten there, the lights are off no one's there, and there's no updated hours printed on the door. I'm a small business owner in town and send ready to go packages almost daily. Going to this store is THE most stressful part of being an entrepreneur and that says ALOT because if you own your own business you know how stressful it can be. They are rude, arrogant and act as if bringing a pre packed, labeled package is ruining their lives. It's gotten to the point where I now drive 30 minutes to the next nearest UPS store because it's that horrendous of an experience. read more

Like the other reviewers, I have dealt with the old cranky guy that works there. They also have a younger version of him. I always laugh when I leave there. They're so miserable it's actually funny. They have a new kid that is the exact opposite. Friendly and polite. I doubt he'll last long. The old guy that has been there forever is pretty grumpy. They're close by, so I use them. read more

Would give zero stars if possible. Location was closed for the holiday and not noted as such online. Went today to send my package and of course a line of people waiting. While waiting a woman decided she was too good to wait like the rest of us and put her package up on the counter and told the young female attendant that she didn't need a receipt. Was told she had to give a receipt, customer insisted on taking her chances and left the package on counter. By now there were about 10 people waiting in line. The attendant took package off counter and continued to process while everyone else waited. As usual the sheep sit quietly and say nothing. Tired of being taken advantage of as a consumer and self-entitled special people so I spoke up and suggested the attendant take the customers in line first. She stated it was already on the scale and continued. I replied that it wasn't fair to the rest of us and that my time is also valuable. Instead of apologizing as she should have, she just went on doing what she wanted. When it came time for my turn, she told the other attendant she wasn't taking me that he could take care of me. NICE!!!! Last time EVER and I mean EVER using any UPS store or service for shipping. I have shipped many packages in the last 4 years with them and USPS and they are well over $70 each time. read more

Wow, why all the negative reviews? Every time I have gone I have never had an issue. The man who owns the store is profesional and okay he is not friendly but he gets the job done. He has never been rude or unprofessional. The people who left bad reviews need to go to the post office because they'll have a very rude awakening at what actual rudeness is. "Old Man" Len is the owner, and he needs a reality check. "Mr Len, you are not pleasant or professional, please sell this business to someone else sir." Look at these reviews Len. See how many are bad? All but 1. Your wife shouldn't be acting like an employee if she is not an employee or co-owner. You and your store are unprofessional to say the least. You, Len, are the reason why UPS should no longer partner with your outfit. If you never learned how to speak to people with respect, then it can only be assumed that you never had manners or your manners have been forgotten. Maybe its time to retire Len? I've been here quite a few times and the older guy who works there is so rude. I actually completely DREAD anytime I need to go to UPS. Unfortunately Amazon returns must be completed at UPS and stead of the USPS postal service, so I have no choice but to come in here. I have needed to go in to simply drop something off for a few days now, and I've been putting it off due to how badly I do NOT want to interact with this staff members. I am overly kind to him regardless of the attitude I get and he repeatedly is rude. What good fortune we have that this ups store is conveniently located in our town, especially during the covid pandemic. The two gentlemen who operate the store are a great team and together they can offer great expertise, advice, and assistance with all manner of requests. Excellent, your store is a heck of a lot cleaner than most other quick ship places that I've been to, went to visit the Sandwich Man, due to rumors of its closing and peaked in your place. the previous comments are quite rude. I went in here to mail a package. I needed to tape one side of a small box. The tall and large man said it will be 50cents for him to tape it. I told him in the last 50 years no one at a UPS has ever charged me for a piece of tape. He said "why should I pay for it? I charge 50 cents" I can buy a roll of the same tape he uses for 1 dollar in the same plaza. I told him I will go home and tape it myself. His reply..."go ahead and waste 50 cents in gas". He demeanor was confrontational and rude. Basically he is the opposite of customer service. Will I be going back to this UPS ever? no I support friendly places and boycott jerks like this one. I have never been treated like such garbage. There is a major anger/ego problem going on at this location just about every time you go in. I was told "there's the door" just for politely asking a simple questions about my package. The attitude was ridiculous! I won't be going back ever again, and I'd also advise you to AVOID! read more

Should have checked the reviews before I came here. Absolutely terrible. The guy was so rude and arrogant and didn't give me correct change back. I wasn't in the mood to argue so I left. Never coming here again. Worst customer service. Charged $1 for one piece of tape and $5 to print my shipping label on normal paper!! Only one page!! read more

I've been using them for about 18 months now. I can't say enough good things about them. I own a small consulting business and needed someone to accept packages for me - they have been a god-send. They have even gone above and beyond when I was waiting for a very large package to arrive. It was three days late, but the moment it arrived, they looked up my phone number and called me to tell me it arrived safe and sound. They are always polite and friendly - I don't know what I would do without them. read more

AVOID! Wish I saw the previous comment. I went here yesterday to ship a package and the box was only 6" in length. I asked if they had tape and the rudest man said " I'll do it free this one time but next time I'm charging you!". WTH? Charging for a 6" strip of tape? Worst customer service ever. I just thought I'd weigh in my opinion. I had read the previous reviews but I live right up the road from this location and the convenience was just too good to pass up. I needed to return something to an online retailer and they provided the return label for me (obviously via ups) I had taped up the box myself after reading the reviews so I can just get in and quickly exit. Upon entering I was not greeted at all. There was only one other person in the store besides the employee and he was at the copier machine. I stood at the counter (with the employee standing right there) for a good 45 seconds without being acknowledged at all so I said 'hello' brightly. The employee said 'hello' back, not unkindly but not exactly welcoming either. There was also no 'how may I help you' so I had to take charge. I told him what I was there for and handed him the package. He scanned it into the computer and carelessly tossed the package onto a pile of other packages...he printed up my receipt and again carelessly tossed it in my direction onto the counter, never making eye contact with me but telling me I was all set. So, relatively painless but not pleasant. I picked two stars only because it was as quick as I wanted it to be. I work in customer service and would never treat my customers this way. It's not hard to say hello, smile at them, and handle their transaction with care. If you're looking for a semi-decent interaction don't come here. Next time I'll just deal with using the gas to get to a location that's a little further away. read more

I always experience friendly and reliable service here. I'm a professional photographer and often have to send my equipment out for repair. I know I can trust my equipment to be packaged and shipped in a timely and safe manner. I come back here all the time and have never had a bad experience. read more

The owner is very miserable, crabby and very rude. I'm in that UPS store a couple times a month with packages I have to send to my customers and he always wants to charge me for tape, and also tells me my package is not packed properly. Our company spends a lot of money with UPS, why should we have to pay for tape and deal with the hassle? read more

I will never step foot in this store again. I had a package of gifts that I was mailing to a very sick child and not only was the person that assisted me absolutely rude, but they put my package in someone else's box and mailed it to them. Thankfully this was a very honest person and they called me to let me know they had my stuff. When I went back to the UPS Store to resolve this issue, the same rude person couldn't care less. I was told it's their busy season so this happens. He then told me that he would contact the person they sent it to to have it picked up and he never did that. The kind person that received the package took it upon themselves to call his store and help resolve the issue. I almost lost over $100 worth of merchandise and unfortunately I am sure this sick child will not receive these special gifts in time. I have never experienced such awful customer service and I advise anyone that wants to mail a package find someplace else to go if you want it to go to the right place! read more
