I've visited this location multiple times, and unfortunately, the customer service is consistently terrible. The staff is extremely rude--there's never a simple "hello," just someone standing there silently with a scanner in hand, waiting to check your items. If I didn't need to process a return, I wouldn't step foot in here. And outside of returns, I make it a point not to. In today's economy, where jobs aren't guaranteed and major businesses close regularly, you'd think people in customer service roles would at least try to show some professionalism. A Macy's in a busy area closed down, UPS is not exempt from closing down. This is a customer service position--you weren't hunted down for this job, you applied for it. So if you're that unhappy being here, maybe it's time to move on. There's one employee in particular--a man with golden hair and a round face--who is consistently rude. He never greets customers and only engages with his coworkers. It's no wonder this location has such poor reviews. The attitude here reflects exactly why the ratings are so low. read more

Small store with large volume I haven't had an issue with processing a UPS return with them. Come with your package prepared and some patience and you too will be fine. I've seen this place when it's quiet and when it's packed. It's hard to tell when traffic will be high. With some patience, everything gets processed. From what I have observed, delays occur due to a customer's circumstances and not the consistency/competency of the service of the workers. read more

I always return my Amazon packages I put the items in original box there must be new owners there's an older asian woman there that has some attitude very nasty. She always tells me that I have to buy a box I bought one box for three dollars even though I'm not supposed to I bought in my item there on Saturday and she tells me it's six dollars for a box. I said Amazon said I could just return it in the original box she says no six dollars or you go now what an attitude she should be replaced I don't even think she's here legally you don't treat customers like that I won't be going back there! and I did go there for passport photos and normal UPS packages, but I'll make sure I find someplace else even after telling her that you don't have to buy a box for Amazon she was screaming at me being the gentleman that I am. If I could give this store a minus 5, I would. My husband when there yesterday to drop off an Amazon package for return. The package was wrapped all it needed was a label. After a grunt from the clerk who told my husband to email him the label, he proceeded to ignore my husband for the next 15 minutes to grunt at the other customers. Once my husband made a fuss, they finally printed the label and charged him $3.50 in the process, according to Amazon this should be free of charge. Then they refused to give you a receipt! Worst customer service ever!! Never again, many other options to drop off returns. I did Uber package and my Uber driver called me saying there was issues with my package, I said sure and he handed me a phone to this lady who said I had no QR code multiple times when I have a photo of it.. I asked if there's issue and I can send in the photo again. I told my Uber driver to not worry about it and I'll call the store myself and when I called the store this guy picked up saying the code was invalid now.. when they said i didn't have one previously. It's been over a month since I left 4 packages at this UPS location and one was a warranty exchange of an iphone. A month later and the package states "waiting to be shipped." Called to speak to the manager and one is nowhere in sight for the next week (so they say.) After reading the reviews, it's clear these people are robbing packages and keeping them for themselves. WARNING: The owner and employees of this store are essentially criminals and thieves who are tampering with your amazon returns. I dropped off 5 packages the other week for amazon returns (all QR code scans). I requested a receipt for all 5 items just to be on the safe side but they refused to give me one, giving a lame excuse saying this can now be tracked online (which is false). Any reasonable person would expect them to all show as picked up by carrier within the next day or two. Nope! Only 2 showed up as "In Transit", and remaining 3 to showed "Shipment Ready for UPS". It's a week later now and the two in transit have already been delivered, by the other 3 are still in "Shipment Ready for UPS" status. I called them up asking why they didn't deliver my package and they claimed they did and the system isn't updating. Well guess what, Amazon still hasn't acknowledged receipt and they said they wouldn't refund me until the tracking is updated as delivered. I suspect the store owner and employees are complicit in package negligence and theft. This is an infuriating experience for not just me but other customers it seems. UPS headquarters needs to investigate this location and implemented stricter rules and regulations here or fire the management and get new ones. Considering this is in a high-end neighborhood this level of service is pathetic and a shame to the community. read more

Because of the snow storms I couldn't park my car at any local banks and I needed Notary Services. I googled Notary services in my area and was surprised to see UPS providing the service. I not only was able to secure the service, but also get a copy of the document and send the envelope via UPS. What a wonderful experience to be able to secure a full line of services under one roof. The Agents at this location are always Professional and considerate. They should be able to advertise unusual services that they provide in order that the general public are informed. read more

I knew it was going to be a problem but it was close so I went anyway. The guy behind the counter was giving the lady in in front of me attitude there were two guys behind the counter doing out there stuff but yet we still had to wait on line for attitude guy to finish fussing with the customer. You might be one of the lucky few that doesn't get a rude employee when you ask for a receipt for a package you are shipping out. But I was not that lucky!BTW, they don't give receipts, but they will act as if you are making an unreasonable request. It's the closest UPS Store to my house, but I go to the one in Bayside where my experiences have been very good- plus they do give me a receipt. All I can say is- read all these bad reviews- there's a reason for them! Saying that the customer service was awful does not suffice. I asked for passport pictures. The employee/manager who took the photos placed a small digital camera extremely close to my face, proceeded to have me pay for it before I saw the finished product, then refused to address the poor quality of the photo and the printing paper. There were scratch marks on the photos!!!!!!!! I politely asked about it and his response was "It's fine. That shouldn't impact your application." I told him I was still uncomfortable. He repeated his statement and was extremely dismissive. Either retake the photos or issue a refund. You're better off doing a selfie infront of a whiteboard! read more

The most unprofessional business I've ever encountered. I utilize this location frequently and I would say every other time I have witnessed an older Chinese lady arguing in Chinese with another staff member. By arguing I mean yelling when there are customers in the store. Secondly, I hate that the employees NEVER offer you a receipt first. I, as the customer, always have to ASK for a receipt. As soon as you walk in and stand by the register to be helped, every single time and every single employee says to you "you can leave it here." I have had multiple unpleasant interactions with the staff at this UPS store. The customer service is lacking and they nickel and dime you for any little thing such as having a package delivered there. They currently have rejected my UPS package three times and failed to tell me that unless I have a MailBox and pay to have my package delivered there, they "will not be receiving any of my packages because they don't know who I am." I've never had an issue with UPS stores before but I will say this DO NOT use the store for mailing and receiving packages. read more

I am not sure if its possible to write this review and give the UPS on Union Turnpike 0 stars but I am certainly going to try. The service was horrible. They were so rude and its terrible because I am sure they get a lot of their business from the local college community. I will definitely not return there anytime soon and I hope they get a change of management soon. To send the package, it was also ridiculously expensive and they were not willing to help me with the package since it was quite large and failed to say thank you after I payed the shipping fee. I am also convinced that they failed to include the St. John's discount although I showed my school ID. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I highly recommend that if you are a student please plan enough time to go to the postal room located on campus. read more

I accept my destiny, take my shower, cancel my dentist appointment on Saturday morning, take my shower, get dressed and drive for 45 minutes to their facility. I can't attest for the shipping or printing services offered at this location, but we frequent this store for pickups and the typical shazam. I had a package overnighted to me via UPS air. The guy at the desk was professional, understanding of the situation given the fact that I could not provide him with payment immediately. He was patient in allowing me to call my credit card company to figure things out. It was a pleasant experience overall.
