All my kids have been "water safe" by 2 1/2. Im disappointed this program does not enforce water safety. I spoke with the manager, and teachers to push him, and all they did was continue play time. Not the program for life and death water safety. I really wish there was a better program here. I will have to hire a teacher to come to my home once the pool is complete. Love the facility, clean, great amenities. Program is mediocre, and i found a waste of my time and money.

They never followed up with me to say they were too busy for lessons, and never called me back. If they can't follow up with client inquiries, I can only imagine how they are with teaching swimming. What a disorganized company. Their website/app is very difficult to understand and the swim coaches…read moreadmit to it being hard to use. If they decide to reschedule any or all of your appointments, the management isn't good about entering them into the system. We were told we missed an appointment, when clearly the error was with the website/app not being changed properly. The swim coach texted me prior to our lesson, to say we missed our appointment and that she didn't have to squeeze us in somewhere else. She stated she has "things after work". My 5 year old was so upset because she wanted to swim and we were driving there to be there on time. At this point I'm done with this company. We will find a better program. Now let's discuss the actual lessons. This is not for kids who are comfortable in the water and need lessons to teach strokes. These coaches, spend lots of time having the kids blow bubbles in the water, go under water and other very basic things. I witnessed other lessons going on and there wasn't much actual swim instruction going on. My child had been learning freestyle in another program, prior to our move to this area, and this coach had to be told multiple times that my child needs help learning to breath on her side and kicking while doing the arms. We had one lesson where the coach didn't even get in the pool with my child. Instead she made her exit the pool and lay on the pool chairs so she could show her how to kick. The lesson program we came from (in Kentucky) was very organized and had lists that each level was working on. They had a program that each coach followed and you could see the kids advancing. Worden Aquatics did not have anything organized about these lessons. For $55 a lesson, I expected a lot more. I expected our lessons to not be moved around so much. I expected the coach to teach at the level my child needs. I also expected management to communicate properly with clients and actually book the lessons they say they will book. Instead you end up paying for lessons where the child isn't advancing in their skills or they botch the lesson time and refuse to reschedule or refund.

My son went for a week and it was horrible. Every day we picked him up his bottles were left all…read moreover the daycare, no food on them. Teachers (who weren't even his) were handing us his bottles because they were left laying around. He was dirty with a full diaper when we picked him up several days that week. The first day we picked him up, he was nowhere to be found, because no one took the time the that morning to discuss his schedule with us. Even though we tried several times, we were pushed off like they were too busy. Finally, on the Thursday of that week, when we picked him up (at 430) and he was starving. We checked his daily sheet, and we noticed he hadn't been fed or anything since 11:30 that morning. We could get no explanation. We made the decision right then to never take him back. I emailed the director to inform her and discuss why, but never received a response. This to me is extremely unprofessional and rude. The Sunday following his last day, we noticed our son was getting sick with high fever and rash. So we took him to the walk in clinic. Come to find out, he was exposed to hand, foot, and mouth at the daycare. Trying to be respectful, I emailed the director to inform her, but still, no response. We personally find the place to be unsanitary, and the teachers to be rude, and it seems not one person in the facility has compassion enough to care for your child or their property.

It's Reggio Emilia-inspired, mostly outdoors, and so intentional in how it nurtures curiosity, confidence, and kindness. The teachers were warm, steady, and genuinely invested in each child as an individual. We watched our son grow in independence, communication, and emotional maturity, and he developed a real love of learning through play, nature, and meaningful projects. Spring Hollow also felt like a true community for our family; supportive, welcoming, and aligned with the values we wanted reinforced at home. We are incredibly grateful for our years there and recommend it without hesitation.

The school operates under the Reggio-Emilia philosophy (meaning the children can self-direct their own learning) . After saying goodbye at the goodbye window, the day starts with the children together talking about what is going on in the day. The children have times where they can choose to be outside or inside and a teacher is in each spot helping them out. In either spot they can play, paint, work with materials or dress up. It is quite exciting to the see the daily email from the teachers with pictures of what the kids during the day. The thing that surprised me the most is the amount of cooperation and group play that emerges when you leave the kids on their own. In every email, there are pictures of a group of kids exploring or playing house and the kids have assigned themselves different rules. We went to the open house at Spring Hollow and were able to sit in on a day with our son. If you are unsure, plan to stop in and you won't be disappointed. We explored a number of preschools for our son, but I think we decided on the right place when we sent him to Spring Hollow.

This is our 3rd year our child has been attending Brentwood Montessori Academy. My husband was not…read moreconvinced going into our first year...He said one, maybe two years, but that definitely changed!. The first year, she started to write in cursive...The second year she moved into a new classroom and had several work stations, jobs, and an extra bonus of getting to go to violin class (with only paying a violin rental of $20 a month), and several extra curricular activities that we could add on after school (1 hour extra). Her teachers noticed after a few weeks she was behind on reading a little, and let us know promptly so we could get right on to ramping up her reading...She made a huge turn around! We love this environment of learning. We love that kids are able to be kids, but also learn lots of responsibility and independence. They get to go home and be a kid without loads of homework, although, you can request some learning sheets to be sent home. Now, in our choice to choose Montessori once again, for a 3rd year in 2020, we had a couple important requirements with our choice to go back. We already had an excellent experience so far, but the pandemic and how it was going to be handled at Montessori was key to us continuing. After reading their new policy, we saw that great efforts were made in making the children's environment as normal as possible. This was absolutely critical in us sending our daughter back. They had also placed common sense approaches for keeping kids and staff safe. Because the kids have separate work spaces where they do their individual work, they are already socially distanced. They do temperature checks where my child can be checked with her wrist. They also have hand sanitizing stations (my child is able to bring her organic sanitizer-90% ) and they take the time to keep things extra clean. They have a great system of separating rooms, in case of Covid exposure which really limits the amount of shut downs. This has been brilliant! We have seen the damaging effects of other overly strict policies in so many other surrounding schools (including a lot of depression, discouragement, and lack of learning) so we couldn't be more happy in the way they have handled this so far. Because she is able to go back to school, and not have us home school her, the teachers were able to recognize that she had a bit of a learning disability and we were able to immediately jump on that and get a tutor. One of her teachers actually took the time to educate herself better on her type of disability in order to understand and be able to serve her and some other kids with this issue even better. We would have never even known she had some issues. Now we can save her the heartache of losing her self confidence and falling behind. We highly support Jim Bernstorf and his highly compassionate & knowledgeable staff. We thank them so much for the way they teach the children. Thanks to them, our child can go to school in freedom. As Maria Montessori said, "Let the children be free; encourage them; let them run outside when it is raining; let them remove their shoes when they find a puddle of water; and, when the grass of the meadows is damp with dew, let them run on it and trample it with their bare feet; let them rest peacefully when a tree invites them to sleep beneath its shade; let them shout and laugh when the sun wakes them in the morning as it wakes every living creature that divides its day between walking and sleeping."
