Put aside a few hours to stroll through this gem. Not only do they have a roadside store brimming with everything imaginable, but they have an additional building out back. Nice place with several consignment venders. Building off the main road is packed full of nice items and may have what you are looking for. Last time we were here we were told about their second larger store located around the corner behind the store. Went there again and were not disappointed. Larger area with various items. We like going there as its always fun to browse around, not knowing what you will find and like. Highly recommend going to both these stores if you are on the antique trail by the shoreline! read more

Great, eclectic selection at fabulous prices. I frequent vintage shops up and down the shoreline and I must say that The Trove has a wonderful supply of deals for all. Smalls? Check. Jewelry, fine and costume? Check. Decoratives? Check. Furniture from country primitive to mid-century modern? Check. Travel any direction on the coast and you'll find it a difficult task to find a shop with more reasonable prices. No, it ain't a tag sale here, but the shopkeepers are open and responsive to reasonable offers. Most of the stuff in my house has come out of this store. LOVE. read more

A friend of mine who is a former antique dealer and I recently made the rounds in Old Saybrook and if you are looking for antiques, unique pieces to decorate your home with, or just like the feeling of going on a treasure hunt, then The Trove is a must-stop place among Old Saybrook's many, many antiques and collectibles dealers. The store on the main road is smaller and displays mostly jewelry and smaller items. Head over to the back where the second building is and it's basically a warehouse with far larger pieces of furniture, cabinets, mirrors, and wood-worked items. if you don't have an eye for antiques or can't recognize certain periods and forms of craftsmanship (19th, 20th century, Amish, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Depression-era etc.) I feel bad for you because it will all just look like old stuff to you. On the other hand, if you can, you're bound to find something you recognize here. read more

Kind of just OK. Prices are a bit high, but maybe appropriate for this area? There are 2 buildings. The one in the back is much bigger with more vendors. A lot of smalls in cases in front building. Meh. I probably would not stop again. read more

Large store. Nice stuff. Everything had a price tag with notes on it. This is not a thrift store, its consignment so things are not a bargain, but they did not seem highly overpriced either. I had a fun time browsing. read more

Quirky little antique shop with many knick-nacks. Most of the antiques are 20th century Americana. There is a warehouse out back with booths for locals to sell, some cute arrangements there. The warehouse also contains larger items. Definitely a nice place to stop if you're out on the coastline adventuring. read more

We spent a brief but enjoyable time browsing through the two dozen plus booths of antiques and finds. Steve wanted to buy an old bottle but there was no price tag attached. The clerk called and contacted the stall owner, described the item and gave us the more-than-fair price. Quite a lot if work for a small ticket item but much appreciated. This place was amazing! Just when you think you've seen it all you can take a short walk behind the store (or drive back down) and there is another huge warehouse full of delightful things! The woman owner that we met was so nice and called the owner of the table we were eyeing and got him to come down $25. Great place. Do not pass this up! read more

Awesome treasure trove of a store. An eclectic mix of antiques, vintage, and collectible pieces. TWO large buildings on the property to visit (both are worth the time). Items are consigned and in a typical booth grouping. This makes shopping easy, because it is clear if a booth is your sort of thing. I prefer mid-century modern pieces and found some fun additions to my home - including the small nesting Pyrex bowl to complete my set I have been searching years for. Folks in both checkout desks (one in each property) were helpful and friendly. This was my favorite stop in town by far. read more

I'm so glad I found this place! Stopped in right before they were closing on a Friday afternoon and managed to make the rounds in the front store and find a few unique little treasures. I used to love going here but the prices have gotten high. They do have a great selection of things but it was a bit frustrating to me in pricing. Granted each booth is individually priced by independent dealers so this may not consistently be the case. The staff is very nice and helpful. The back building seems cheaper and better than the front. read more
