She was looking for moss roses, which they also don't carry. She was interested in another flower they did have but the employee we were talking to was distracted by a vehicle that had pulled in. Clearly a friend, as she abruptly left stating the lady needed help and left us standing there. Another employee came by without acknowledging us. I told my mom that we were done. They were not interested in our business. We went to Wery's where they are always happy, friendly and knowledgeable. They also have moss roses and veggies.

After 3 months, we dug it up and took it back. We were told that it was last years stock, and there is no guarantee on sale items. It would have been nice if we were told that when we purchased the shrub, since if we had known they sell plants that are not alive, why would we have bought it. I have NEVER purchased a plant that did not live in my life, until we went to Van Zeeland's. Obviously, I will never go back again to purchase over priced, no guarantee stock from them.

We asked what was wrong and they explained that nobody would be allowed into the store without masks. I agreed it was silly, but I pulled my scarf up over my face and complied. As I approached the entrance, the recent male owner insisted I put on plastic gloves due to COVID-19. I said No, Thank You. He then angrily chastised me in front of about 10 employees and patrons, "If you're going to shop in my store you're wearing gloves! If I get sick, I won't be able to make a living! You're free to get your flowers elsewhere." It was very embarrassing--more so for him. My party as well as several others decided then and there that we would not be giving him our business. Hopefully it won't take a hit to his wallet for him to learn how to treat his [long-term] customers with dignity; and hopefully he'll do some research on simple health precautions instead of taking mainstream media sources as infallible truth.

I was promised that it would be made and delivered that day. It's Thursday afternoon and has still not been delivered. I called the store and the man who answered was very rude, never apologized and said "it's a busy time of year." He then told me it had been delivered. When I told him it was not, I was told, "maybe you'll have better luck with another florist." I ended the call. He called back to say the arrangement was still sitting in their back room and has not been delivered. Despite not being delivered four days after it was supposed to be, they charged my account earlier in the week. Horrible customer service. Still no product, despite being charged for the arrangement and the delivery.

The arrangement was not delivered until May 15th and was not the arrangement that I had ordered. When I called to Schroeder's to inquire about this, Karen basically told me that they were catching up from deliveries that could not be delivered on Mother's Day. No apology, nothing. Everything digressed from there. I was not asking for a refund nor did I mention it, however, I think that an acknowledgement and apology would have been nice. I am assuming that this is their normal operating procedure. I guess that I should feel lucky that my mom eventually received her flowers.

There is no question about the fact that the issue showed up a few weeks after install. I don't know what happened to it.  Nobody in my family knows what happened to it.  I can tell you this.  I've never seen carpet do that before.   Not even the 15 year old carpet we just had replaced to have carpeting sold to us by Home Depot and made by Mohawk.  I'm 53 years old and I always had carpeting in my house.   I travel for a living.  I never seen any disgusting hotel carpet to that.     Who whatever thought that you go into your local Home Depot to purchase carpeting and installation,  that your are going to wind up being screwed by them because you have been sold some poorly made carpet!
